Kerry is incompetent when it comes to grabbing the media's attention.

hint for Kerry: If you're not gonna say anything shocking, the media isn't gonna give a damn. They have more attention grabbing stuff to report.

Kerry's campaign has been run poorly...ie thrusting his Vietnam service to the forefront and relying upon it to win him points. His handlers should have known that he would be attacked over his ant war comments during the Vietnam era...but then again his Senate voting record is so ultra liberal that he cannot win the election based upon his record...as the bulk of Voters are not ultra liberals...and are more to the center. His nomination was a poor choice. Lieberman or Gebhart would have been better nominees. I suspect the Democrats have blown the Presidency this time around.

I believe that was the plan it leaves 2008 wide open.
