Want to talk smack about Paycom? Lets clarify a real issue

We all know the source of these banking rumors directed at both Paycom and CCBIll. Desperate people say and do desperate things , unfortunately.

Lets explore another area of this rumor which I have been hearing...

That Paycom is going to have to start billing all of its VISA members through a virtual visa card billing model.

Does anyone here actually believe that the virtual visa card is a viable billing model for adult transactions in the eyes of VISA???

Do people truly believe that VISA is going to allow this? Considering all the hard work VISA put fourth to develop the HRIPSP program.

Do you think VISA is just going to sit around and allow an entity to process massive amounts of adult transactions outside of their HRIPSP program?

VISA is extremely happy with the results of the HRIPSP program and has no intention of getting rid of it. And they don't take to kindly to those who blatantly try to circumvent their work.

Open your eyes and think people.

Clay

Well I'm just happy to see both companies strongly deny the rumors. I for one about had a heart attack when I first heard them.

I may be naive; but, the time to worry about a billing company is when the checks stop coming.

That's how it happened to us with sypro and website billing.

I just got my Paycom check yesterday (thanks, guys)
and I got my CCBill checks today (thanks, guys)

Let's all just get back to work.....it's been a rough week.

No billing company is going to come on the boards and tell you if they are in trouble. You'll know if they are, when you don't get your check. And, this is not said with any disrespect toward any company.

But, let's stop the rumour mills...until there is or unless there is actually some meat to it. He said/she said just doesn't count in banking.

No, no and no.

Visa is going to be pissed. My jaw dropped when I heard about IBill's planned solution to their problems. It's a piss-poor patch-up job at best.

Maybe I'm missing something but isn't iBill's GKard the exact same thing as EPassporte?

Wouldn't you say that a company that got dumped by their bank would say and do desparate things, unfortunately?

This is just a question and it is not meant to mean that your company received notice.

I'd say ePassporte is closer to Paypal than to GKard.

ePassporte is a peer2peer and business2peer payment service, amongst other things. GKard doesn't seem to have that capability.

The GKard concept is simply a weak fix to IBill's problems. Basically, IBill is planning on issuing all it's subscribers a virtual GKard. When it comes time for a membership fee to be charged, the customer's personal Visa will be charged to load the GKard. Then the GKard will be debited by Paypal.

This goes around the whole IPSP concept that Visa put in place two years ago (as Clay said). This means IBill doesn't have to worry about things like low chargeback allowances.

Simply said, Visa will not like the GKard concept.
