Down below, I've copied what has been posted on the submit page at hardcore junky describing problems with a large number of free hosts. I guess I'm just naive. However, I've personally used porncity, smutserver, and lightning free and never been aware of the practices described here -- in fact, those 3 at least have seemed to be very honest and I've certainly gotten my money's worth from using them

. As far as the others are concerned, I have no personal experiences to go on. So -- is it just that I'm not aware of what really goes on in the world of freehosts?

thunderfree.com - personal experience. this host took down my sites the first day I listed them on HCJ and I was in FULL compliance of their rules
maxismut.com - too many complaints from European surfers about being redirected.

the thing about freehosts is a lot of people steal content. when people get caught, the free host just deletes the account and collects the 404. this goes true for people breaking the rules too

It's true that a lot of freehost webmaster steal content, however a standard procedure of any reputable company is to notify the webmaster and allow 24 hours before deletion of the site. This type of frame of time actually got us in trouble with APIC for not cooperating on time, but we are not willing to change the policy.

FreeHosts can make money without any bullshit... that's a fact.

Even PornHotels that is mentioned up there, it's a freehost I started back with SexTracker, sold it off to them a year ago, and what it has now, has nothing to do with what my intent was for it.

My 2 cents..

Usually its clearly stated in the Terms of Service. The use of stolen or illegal content, files that are over the limit, hotlinking, using frames, etc..are conditions that are usually stated in the TOS as grounds for deleting an account without notice. If its all stated in the TOS than free hosts shouldn't need to give the webmaster 24 hours notice.

Most free hosts are scammers and they always get away with it because people keep on saying "they are free hosts, they have to make money, what do you expect, they offer free bandwidth, get your own hosting" etc etc.

This is complete bullshit. We pay them off by showing their banners and/or footers. They have no right to popup or redirect or delete anything anywhere except for their 404 pages.

I cant believe how people keep on defending this shit. A scammer is a scammer and should not be defended, free hosts, paid hosts, sponsors or any other company that offers a service.

When a sponsor keeps you exit traffic to give you higher pay outs on trials is it cheating?

When the free mail program you send traffic to doesn't pay you for hotmail email accounts and takes your exits and enters to give you a good payout is it cheating?

When your sponsor redirects your foreign traffic to a dialer or doesn't process those credit cards is it cheating?

If I sit here and think I can find many example of so called cheating. But at the end all those things are done to keep the programs alive and to maintain payouts and ensure that webmasters get that big check at the end of the pay period. Same things go for free hosts. Free hosts have to do this to cover their bandwidth costs just like anyone else. Just my view point!

I was reviewing galleries this morning around 2am or so and I would click the link and it would be a bunch of thumbs linked to exe files. I would click it again and the normal page would be there. I started checking all the galleries on that domain and they all did the same thing.

Not listing them anymore!

some people say that its a known fact that the biggest freehosts are redirecting but they are still promoted a lot.
the tgp owners have the decision to accept the galleries or not. there are shitload of galleries submitted everyday anyways. just choose the payhosted ones.

I don't think they realise, like most of the kids nowaday the consequences of their actions. For them, it's only a few megs to share stuff with their friends and for them we are all big corporations with unlimited budget who wont even notice the difference (in their minds), so whats the big deal?

Besides, it's not like they see me, so it's probably not hurting anybody, they dont commit a crime, they don't kill or hurt anyone, thye don't steal banks, they are just using bandwith on a free host!

This is the same guys, different culture, race, language and color, but it's the same type of people who were/are stealing from terra.es and will find millions of reasons to justify themselves.

The fact they these not putting banners for themselves is showing that they are not trying to profit form their actions (unlike the terra leeches).

What we would need is to educate them to the cost and burden they put on us, because I really don't think they realise it.

Some people are ignorant, some are trying to hurt us, be it intentional or not, it ends up hitting the same place, our wallets and our ability to make money.

I'm having the same problem with the same people. I found a way to auto delete them. They worked around it. I found another way. They worked around that as well. They upload the files automaticlly and hide pirated material under the image headers. They have some script that uploads the files for them so no matter how fast you delete they will create a new account...

Wizdom has stated some very good points here. I get the same cheaters everyday on all of my hosts. Actually I get that exact same guy he posted in the above post about 10-15 accounts from him everyday. Also that is just the tip of the iceberg, the cheaters with Child Porn, Bestiality, illegal copyrights, scripts to hide our ads, redirects, adding blind thumbs and crap after being listed..etc... the list is endless. Many of you seem to always think that it's always the free host doing the cheating, ...this is not the case..We only ask for a fair chance to make our money in exchange for the services we provide to everyone. Many of you either started on a free host or still use a free host, we all need to work together, and not against each other.

As for Blade at HCJ, its his site, and if he chooses to blacklist every free host on the net, well thats his right..

Lisa Marie, I'm well aware of Lightning and all his hosts. I was just stating a fact, that from the ridiculous list of blacklisted free hosts that HCJ has, that Gay Free and Girls Host are not on there.

Gfy has some good people here, and we have all been working together for a long time.

As far as the free hosts go that are a part of this GFY community, like Lightning, Wizdom, Oscar, Mr.MPG, Deniska, Smutserver..etc..These guys (hosts) may all have a problem here or there, but all work their asses off to provide the Adult Community with a much needed service to many of us.
