Do ANY Affiliate Programs Sell???

It's like pulling teeth around here to get signups from affiliate programs.

I've tested a ton over the past year and damn near none are selling.

There are only 3 that get signups or even click thrus that work for me.

Not to say the sites and programs aren't attractive and pro-level managed, I only pick the ones that do look great and have great webmaster support. If I don't get an email within 48 hours from a program I drop them. There's only 2 out of 50 that are piss pitiful in responding to webmaster emails so I can imagine how fucked up they are with customer support.

I would start a movie gallery but too many sites you trade links with have bullshit links and trojans etc. Gives all of us a bad name.

I'm going to whittle down my choice of affilate progams to 10 and then see what shakes from that.

Only major problem I run into is by the time the program is released it's been test marketed to oversaturation.

BlingDaddy!!!! You ROCK!

I am amazed but your stats you've posted are damn near pound for pound my stats! I have more programs but same ones you have!

The math nowadays is all screwed up. Several years ago a webmaster could count on several hundred or several thousand bucks in affiliate signup rebills! It wasn't that hard to kick about $30-40K a year with just sending a program traffic. Even webmaster signups.

So see, my math works like this. If you have ONE site and just handle that and dress it up with some attractive affiliate programs you can make decent dough and time to chill. If you have a main site and your own affiliate program AND promote some you should make $100k easy. For me it's easier because I make my own content. Some guys have umpteen websites and don't make shit. Then some have a few and spend a ton on content thus cutting their profit margins.

Affiliate programs should both enhance a webmaster's site and a webmaster should in turn do the best job promoting the affiliates.

If you're not a greedy bastard you should by the numbers and math alone make some decent loot.

I use Cyber Age because it takes a ton of headache off me. It SELLS. But that's due to teamwork. Now off of that site I use several niche oriented programs like superheroines, space/fantasy. You wouldn't BELIEVE the amount of traffic I send some of these affiliates and they don't convert!

I for one am one remark away from dropping all affiliate programs because something screwy is going on. Somehow between the webmaster to the surfer and to the affiliate program something is being lost. Could be oversaturation but I don't think that's the big answer. Nor shaving. I would never be stupid enough or rude enough to accuse a company of shaving. If they did it would be easily logged and pursued. So it's got to be something else.

Only thing I can think of is too much free porn and clips from the affiliates or other webmasters who edit the content. That's a maybe.

Bottom line is if you're sending traffic and it don't convert you gotta drop it.

I've got one superheroine affiliate that I use and when I started they loved me. I've sent tons of traffic and it rarely if at all converts. It's a big attraction to my surfers to my site but that's the ONLY reason I keep it. I even got linked by the Hun once for running one of their promo galleries. After that they don't answer an email if you shook it from a tree.

That's okay, I can handle that.

But the final bottom line again is if you're sending unique traffic an affiliate should convert. End all, said all.

What do you do???

I get alot of international traffic. One thing I did that was funny was I had some pages translated using babelfish. The translations were so damned funny that people from these countries sent me tons of emails telling me how funny they were.

One guy from the Netherlands said the translation was so funny they ran it on tv there one day.

Problem with international traffic is they're getting smarter. They block some sites and allow others.

Greg,
Very well said.
Let me preface this by saying that I'm kind a retard. LMAO What I can say is that IMHO there is too much free content on the net. A surfer can jump from TGP to TGP and be done whacking off before they even think about reaching for their Credit Card.

See back in the day they got 10 pics and if they wanted more they had to sign up. Don't get me wrong.... I'm not dissing TGP's or any webmaster for that matter. I just hate when people tout things like an incredible 1:34 ratio!!! They're not wrong in doing so.... they're here to make money just like everyone else. Some stuff works, and some doesn't. The think I like about my little hobby site is I only post one review a day. In doing so, I can mow through 365 sites a year. Mind as well keep track of what pays...... LMAO

Well said Greg

If any of these sites interest you, you should consider giving Soulcash a test run. I'll also put my money where my mouth is and offer you an extra $10 per join for a full pay period. If you're not IMPRESSED with the ratios, the extra payout should make up for it

Blingdaddy, give a try to www.mashaworld.com and let us know about your ratio here http://www.themasturbationstation.com/webmasters.html

One of the reasons many experience horrible outcomes is because shaving has gone out of control. It's no brainer when affiliate programs pop up from nowhere offering $35-40/trial for EVERY paysite they have that something is fishy.

www.NextDoorCash.com

50% revshare - REAL - we pay the fees!!! Can go up, depends on volume!

Fast support - ask ppl here, happened once or twice that an email got lost on the way to me, but normally I reply within 0-24 hours to both, surfers and webmasters.

No traffic leaks, you get paid for everything you see on the tour!
No redirection of any traffic, never!!

Not oversaturated + Im willing to make special deals with affiliates, if you buy some expensive gallery or banner spots, you can be sure, you wont lose your money, even if I had to give you 100%, so you make profit, I would!

why don't you contact me and I'll help you optimize your site and how you advertise so that you make more money.

I really get frustrated sometimes when webmaster bitches about his click through or conversion ratio and he's sending traffic from a blind redirect of blind link.

You can't promote something and expect sick conversion ratios with some shady ass shit like that. If you do it, the program you're sending to doesn't mind, hell it's more traffic, but don't complain when it doesnt magically convert at 1/34

If you want to really get great results from your sites promoting programs try asking the sales manager you work with, if You don't like me or what I have to say I'll refer you to someone else.
I can name several programs out there that will work with you.

Anyone got questions let me know I'll be here all night.

Thanks

You can't promote something and expect sick conversion ratios with some shady ass shit like that. If you do it, the program you're sending to doesn't mind, hell it's more traffic, but don't complain when it doesnt magically convert at 1/34

If you want to really get great results from your sites promoting programs try asking the sales manager you work with, if You don't like me or what I have to say I'll refer you to someone else.
I can name several programs out there that will work with you.

Anyone got questions let me know I'll be here all night.

Thanks

www.LionDollars.com was just launched. A new program using merchant credit card processing rather than 3rd party billing.

LionDollars owners are experienced webmasters in their own right, working with TGP & Search Engine traffic well before ever having added paysites to their business model.

We have found that keeping sites fresh had always kept surfers (and therefore webmasters) happy. We add one new site a week to our programs & often redesign our tours (tested with our own traffic)

Please take a look at our sites.
http://www.liondollars.com/sites.php

And as for support and answering emails.
We have ICQ and email support available to webmasters.

Just sign on up, and drop us a line.

We are also giving away after the first 25 sales, a FREE XBOX... and then after 125 Signups a FREE Mini IPOD. No tricks or hidden time lines... FREE FREE FREE.

Greg B,

Something else you should ask programs is how long they have their cookies set for... I know some set them at 1 day some at 3 days, at pineapplepink I have them set at 90 days. Also I have added a console free tour you can promote...

Hit me on ICQ, we can get you going...

thanks,
Denny

Thanks Rinaldo if you were addressing me. I don't use Platinum Bucks if that's the program you're talking about. Probably because by the time I went through the list of affiliate programs I got so tired I didn't sign up.

I don't use blind links, redirects etc. I don't do to a surfer what I wouldn't have done to me.

Bottom line is yes, how we promote an affiliate is part of the battle, BUT when you send 1,000s of surfers and not one sign up it's time to close the shop. I don't care how attractive and all the hype involved! 1:500 is a reasonable request, with a new program I'll let go 1:2,000 just til surfers get used to it.

If a webmaster is sending 500 uniques a day to a program there should be at least ONE FREAKIN' SIGN UP! Plain and simple!

Look at the math. If a webmaster sends 500 clicks a day and gets ONE signup per day at $30 rebill, in one month the boy is making about $900 in signup/rebills. That simple! But that's the farthest from the truth! I don't know what's changed over the years but I can only say that several years ago the fellows that came up with TGP2 had a great idea. I read about it, tried it, and IT WORKED! Simple formula, til some of the guys got stupid and greedy and infighting. Their philosophy was one of give the surfer a tease and work together as a team to set a standard and it WORKED.

Very strict too.

Now for the past 3 fucking weeks I've been debugging people's computers and networks from goddamned trojans! All porn shit!

One of them was wicked. If you went to a TGP and clicked on a thumb if you did actually go to a sight with pics or movies you were lucky. Now when you clicked the 'join now' or 'see more' something weird happened:

The fucking page froze.

I tried again. Again the page froze. So by accident I cut and pasted the link again but the referral code was missing. It worked.

Tried it several times and what I found out was that links with referral codes WOULDN'T FUCKING LOAD.

Gee, I wonder why? What's the common fucking denominator here? Voila! Fucking trojans in people's computers cutting affiliate codes, changing affiliate codes. It was a fucking nightmare cleaning people's hard drives out.

That's probably one main reason why people lose signups. The affiliate doesn't know what's going on because they're getting the sales, but they're not getting the affiliate's code so no alarm.

There're some out and out evil-ass shit going on and for my time and effort not worth the fucking time and effort.

An average webmaster with good traffic should be making several thousand EASY with affiliate programs but this has dropped so drastically that for me and my guys it ain't worth the time and trouble.

Greg I wasn't referring to my program... on the contrary if someone's sending traffic to our program and they aren't doing it right one of us will contact them and help them figure out what's going wrong... most of the time it's as simple as the guy didn't use the right affiliate code or that he's using a text link advertising Interracial and sending to a lesbian site... I'm a webmaster I know what happens, I think that's why I get people to convert better when they work with me.

If you wanna talk further feel free to hit me up on ICQ, I strongly recommend trying new sponsors if you're having that problem. Yes I agree with you if things are working perfectly and promoted perfectly the conversions should be sub 1000 but sometimes a program just doesn't work for your traffic, you can't blame anyone. The same pair of jeans won't fit anyone the same way.

Hope that helped,

This thread is interesting as it mentions some things that are close to my own experiences.

In my case being an affiliate is a new thing. I've always run paysites from day 1, and I have only recently done any affiliate work. We built a number of tgp's to promote our own sites and had to use other programs to fill them out. All in all we do about 225k / day between the tgp's.

What we quickly found out was that our own galleries converted at 8:1 over affiliate programs even if they were listed in the wrong niche. I would say this month the ratios are even higher.

The other interesting thing was that as the tgp's got larger and we got bigger trades all of the big TGP guys told us how necessary it was to schmooze certain programs to get the shaver turned down. There are guys getting good ratios from programs, and there is a reason they do. However if you are a nobody with an unknown site it would be very difficult to make a decent living at this.

Greg,
This is reason #1 I handcode all my pages. I could be running scripts throughout my entire site.... but the only script running is a toplist. I want to know where I'm sendin the surfer.

Its a little controversial but incestcash (see sig) really does convert like nothing else.

Its not the prettiest affiliate site in the world but they pay, and thats the important thing.

Try sending some milf traffic to the Mother & Sons site........ it will scare you!!

You know it. It'll be coming up soon. Shit, I don't even care if it's 1:1500. The ones that kill me are 1:6000 (And that's CLICKED UNIQUE TRAFFIC) not 404, blah blah blah. LMAO

Maybe you are a fucking moron and just do not know how to find quality programs to promote? Just because a program is big and flashy does not mean their sites are worth shit. Also might try sending more than 2 hits, I've found if you send 3 that you can make more money!

Seems like a simple solution to me...

1. Try a program that uses NATS so you know that it is impossible to shave.

2. Make sure that program updates EACH of its site at least once a week... not just the galleries but the tours and the MEMBERS AREAS too...

3. Contact someone who works for the company to make sure you're going to be taken care of before you even start.

;)

If I don't get an email within 48 hours from a program I drop them. There's only 2 out of 50 that are piss pitiful in responding to webmaster emails so I can imagine how fucked up they are with customer support.

I would start a movie gallery but too many sites you trade links with have bullshit links and trojans etc. Gives all of us a bad name.

I'm going to whittle down my choice of affilate progams to 10 and then see what shakes from that.

Only major problem I run into is by the time the program is released it's been test marketed to oversaturation.

Well done, I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.....
