so I know for CGI to inerpret pages as .CGI you do:

AddHandler server-parsed .html .htm .shtml
Options Includes ExecCGI

What about for PHP engine to parse all .html extensions as well?

I usually have the server admin set this up as I don't know much about it but I believe it is along the lines of

AddHandler php-script .php .html

Keep in mind, this will also disable SSI
