Why not sticking with what you have now ?

Well, first of all M$ is definitely gonna come out with some sort of new standard which is gonna kick in like a bomb and all third party manufacturers are gonna swim with the flow. Result: the user will be forced (over the long term) to upgrade from his existing Win2k/WinME to XP...

But until then (hopefully) Linux is going to be ready for the desktop market - probably still a few steps behind M$, but nevertheless free, without the WPA hassle and without giving away your privacy to Big Brother M$.

It's not Linux or free but, UNIX is not only ready for the desktop market it arrived last Saturday. http://www.apple.com/macosx/

Actually I have stuck with Win98 from the beginning, rarely ever crashes (once a month maybe) and no hassles. I dont think I will go the XP route though.

My problem with the unix and mac products, I cant get half my software to work on it.
