Tsunami Disaster...3 Days Couldn't Post

Yo, that tsunami shit is way past fucked up.

There are people missing I ain't heard from in days and it don't look good. I know I've tried to post on GFY for days now and couldn't get this site. I thought you guys were gone.

Lots of websites offline too. This shit is worse than a war.

It's gonna take a while to get over this until the final news is in. Have lots of co-workers in Thailand. Phuket! I can't believe it!

10 years ago a pal of mine who writes for DC Comics had me draw a story about the city of Phuket. I studied that city inside and out and when I heard it got hit I was shocked. There're lots of U.S. guys in Thailand. I ain't heard from ANY of them yet! I don't think the news is telling us everything and I think things are far more fucked up over there than fucked up can be.

Anybody heard from anyone in Thailand?

Does anyone know of any list of deceased that has been compiled yet? I am actively searching for 2 friends and my friend's wife who were there visiting her parents. I just got word that they were supposed to be scuba diving in Phucket, but no one knows for sure what date they were supposed to be doing it. This is getting worse by the minute. I called his computer shop here in town thinking that his manager would have heard something from him and nothing.

Big thanks Beerbar! I owe ya one!

I just read that board and I might as well scream and pass out. I've been on pins and needles for days now and still no word.

This is just freakin' devestating. It's like walking around in a dark room with no door to open. This is one fucked up week and no telling the ramifications down the line.

Still don't know what's happened in India or Sri Lanka. I've research people there.

I'm told the worst is yet to come if someone doesn't get antibiotics and stuff in fast. Clean water etc.

I can't take another disaster. I just can't. This is too much. Just when I settled down last week to do some long overdue art and have fun over the holidays some shit like this happens.

I don't wanna hear shit on the radio about Bush's campaign or Bin Laden's latest hot air bullshit, or which sports or movie star fucked up what. It's times like this that show you what's really important around the world.

OH this is getting more fucked up by the hour.

Christmas holiday season at that. You have to be physically there at the scene to get any info and it's just gone crazy.

This is enough to make a guy fall off the wagon and go back to eating fast food.

Yea that whole tsunami thing makes yea think about living on the beach. A small one hit here in Daytona Beach about 10 years ago but I don't think it killed anyone just did some damage to some of the stores on A1A.

That shit does make you think though.

Death toll says close to 100,000. No telling yet who's dead or just missing. This is the most fucked up shit since 911.

I'm often asked to do forensic detection. Meaning when they can't identify people they call me. I've got to look at people's remains to see if there's a chance they're the sought after missing person.

Things are so fucked up over there that I can't do it. The bloating and decomposition is so fast it's uncanny. They can't even find the time or resources to upload pics and send them. Many heroes of mine lost family members. It is so tragic for them.

Don't know if any of you remember Sir Richard Attenborough. He played John Hammond the scientist in Jurassic Park. He is said to have lost both his daughter and granddaughter. I feel soooo ill and sad for him. He didn't deserve this. Not after all he's done for people.

Let's all hope and pray the rescue squads can stop the disease epidemic or this death toll will be nothing in comparison.

Take several deep breaths, Greg....unfortunately, the waiting is hellish for you and others trying to find out whether our loved ones are alive or not....

I know this is a tough one for you.
