i've read both of them in a matter of a week... his writing style just keeps me addicted... until i read digital fortress soon thereafter and got sick of dan brown... anyways, i liked the da vinci code and angels and demons, good reads for entertainment, but don't go on thinking that brown is writing fact... but FICTION. check out the ton of books out there that have discredited his claims if you don't believe me.

I thought The DaVinci Code was a great read and written in a very engaging style. I couldn't put the book down and read it in one sitting. After I finished it, I read Dan Brown's other books. They were also pretty good, but you could see how his writing style evolved between his first book and The DaVinci Code. I'm looking forward to his next book.

I just finished Angels and Demons and LOVED it; I'm going to read The Davinci Code once I'm finished a book I got for xmas. I'm really interested in pursuing a little research on the topic; my family is Catholic and Brown's book has been quite thought-provoking. Can you ask for more from fiction? Entertainment AND education

i was able to read the DaVinci Code in one sitting... Angels and Demons in 2 days. it's good that Brown was able to merge a good plot with supposedly historic facts.

Dan Brown's other books, Digital Fortress and Deception Point are pretty good as well. Not the same main character but good stories nonetheless.

I tivo'd "Unlocking the DaVincci Code" and something else, I think it
was, "The Mystery of the Shroud" on discovery channel. Set your tivo's to
record them - very intresting specials. [highly reccomend them]

Dan Brown is not exactly a good writer and it shows if you look a bit deeper in the book. But what really saves this story is the relentless pace while the reader is busy trying to figure out what's real.
Unfortunately he tried to do the same in Digital Fortress and that one sucks horribly.

But the story in The DaVinci Code is really good, so do read it.

I have read all of them. Charlote Simmons is good but not Wolfe's best. Kinda formula. Hard for a 70 (?) yo to really get college kids maybe?
