.htaccess question

with .htaccess
is it possible to stop access to your website from certain refering urls?

I know you can deny by ip, or url, but i dont think this stops denying by refering url

So basicaly a way to stop surfers using a certain site to get to yours

Thanks in advance.

Are you trying to stop spoofers? You could do a referer check in PHP and redirect them somewhere else but I don't know about blocking them via apache or anything like that

yes, in conjunction with mod_rewrite...

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} (domainname\.com) [NC,OR]
RewriteRule .* - [F]
