BigB went into surgery by 7:20 this morning. He'll be changing rooms so he asked everyone not to call as it will not get to him. We don't know what his new room # will be after surgery, but he said he won't be able to talk on the phone for a couple of days. Everyone is optimistic and hoping for a smooth surgery.

BigB is out of surgery and in the recovery room. The surgery went well. He did not need any additional blood. Initial analysis shows the cancer was localized and did not show any signs of having spread, however they still have more tests to run.

So sorry to hear all that BigB has been going through - Mike, will you please give him my best. BigB has that way of making you feel like family from the instant you meet him... he has always been like a big brother to me, never fails to have a hug ready, a joke or a smile.... he's done so much for so many over the years - I think it's great to see such support on the boards.

I talked to BigB this morning. He's in high spirits and sounding well. They are waiting for some test results to come in, but so far it looks as good as it can. BigB wanted to pass along *HUGS* to everyone that's shown their support :-)

I spoke to B before his surgery and I am happy to say he was in great spirits- I hope the surgery thismorning went well for him-

He is one of my favorite guys in this biz. I have known B for 7 yrs and I know he will pull through ok.

I am also happy to say I made his ass laugh so hard on the phone two days ago- I thought I may have killed him.

Just got off the phone with Big B and he's in GREAT spirits and already laughing and joking around!

Those that have been blessed enough to know him KNOW what an incredibly wonderful and fun loving guy he is! I have been fortunate to be friends with this man for a long time, and although we don't spreak often enough - I am a better person for knowing him!

He says he's on the fast track to recovery and doesn't want everyone to worry about him.

BigB says please, no more flowers. He has flowers in the closet, flowers in the bathroom, flowers everywhere! He's feeling great, on the road to recovery.

He says he has the best smelling and prettiest room in the hospital :-) The staff is now treating him like a VIP because of all the flowers.
