It's typical. Police in your area auction off confiscated property all the time cars, tv's, cameras, and everything else.

Alot of police departments now are using ebay to get top dollar.

Scissors ... buy them and donate to a local school or after school club.

Cork screws ... um .. well umm ... Ahhh ... hand them out to everybody behind you in line at the airport and have fun watching them go through security

Yep... I've seen articles where some departments work it into their budgets and set goals for amount they need to confiscate.

nothing.. not a damn thing... how are those considered weapons? its retarded and wrong of them to take it away then sell them... if a guy can take over an airplane with clippers, then you have bigger problems than that guy...

If you think someone can't die from a pair of clippers you need to read up on prison murders.

Due to 9/11 a lot more items cannot be brought onto airplanes. This is public knowledge. What you may not know is the study they did on prison weapons which outlawed most of these things.

its sad how people cant even travel in peace. If someone has to worry about being on a plane and the plane being taken over by a nail clipper then they should totaly stop all airplain flights... sit down and come up with a solution other then taking away everything someone is traveling with and selling it on ebay.

could have fooled me

it is against the law to carry those items on a plane

it is against the law to sell drugs

they take your shit when you try and board a plane

they take your shit when you get caught selling drugs

they sell both

Look at the bargains, though. 50 pounds of steel scissors going for 33 dollars?

Anyone know if you can then take that somewhere and get paid for the scrap metal?

Would it be worth it?
