I'm still waiting for my lawsuit, to get beat up at a webmaster show, AND for him to show up at my house and beat me up.

One company contacted someone for converting too good and inquired about fraud ... They were converting 1:70 and just happen to be doing well and the guy that they accused has been in the industry for at least 5 years to my knowledge. That being said, I'd make damn sure one of my webmasters was actually fraud before accusing or even asking. I would be insulted if I were a webmaster that was converting well for a program and without proper investigation accused of fraud.

I was contacted by a rep once because my conversion ratio (as he put it) was just sick.
1 in 5 or 1 in 10 or something like that.

They'd forgotten that I was hosting the tour and linking to their join page, since they geo-targeted the tour this was the only way I could get the hun to list the gallery.

Had I not known this rep for years, if I was just another nubmer on a spreadsheet, I probably would have gotten canned for fraud also.

all i know is, the first time someone has a problem with their shitty cash program, they will remember my thread, as well as all the other ones on the other boards calling siccash scamming, shaving snakes. in case you missed it, im the one who told greg to close my account. i dont want to be associated with siccash anyway. the only reason i signed up was to promote my website credits list.

ive hated brad shaws fat ass since the day i met him, i wouldnt even eat his pizza in phoenix after i found out he paid for it lol...

now this proves just how dishonest the rest of his company is. noone has tried to resolve this or help me, just turn around and point their fingers at the accuser because im running this elaborate scheme involving $1 free trials, right?

who the f*ck cares about siccash anyway LOL a bunch of garbage reality sites they cant update and a bunch of dirty gay porn...damn im missing out guys....

i can see how their fraud monitor went off, considering ive NEVER sold a membership to their shitty sites in my life! only program im signed up that ive never recieved a cheque from lol......like i said keep your $20....

as for huggles.....

all i ever hear from people is how he is a nobody and a joke and a waste of my effort...people in person not a screen name, carebear

You had 1 hit, 1 sale, an immediate cancellation, AND you admitted you knew the person who signed up, even if only minimally?

Do we have that part right so far?

Hmmm. I didn't see the one HIT part. If that was the very first hit ever sent and it generated a sale, then I'd say Greg was more than justified in inquiring.

Note-I've also had traffic trickles that would result in a 1:1 ratio, but never the VERY first hit sent to a program. That would certainly set off a red flag immediately.

How did it go from:

"I'm suing you for slander and libel"

"I'm going to kick your ass at the Lightspeed road show"

"I have your home address"

So I never got sued.

I never got beat up.

Nobody ever showed up at my house.

...and finally, after all this time, you say I'm not worth your time. So basically, you're all talk, and no action.

Who are all these people that say I'm a nobody and a joke? I bet you can't name even one of them because if you did, you'd be lying.

Hopefully you will continue to alienate yourself from programs and program owners, so eventually nobody in the online adult business will think of you as anything but a total loser that they won't hire.

I for one, will not promote sites that you've starred in. I only make 10-25 sales a day or so, so yes, I'm a small fish. However, there are many small fish like me out there that I know who think you are a tool. Eventually if enough people think you are a tool and people know that affliates and site owners don't like you, content producers will see that you are a liability and not hire you.

Tool!

Greg wouldnt contact you if he didn't really believe something was up (not saying it was). He is very experienced on it, but everyone makes mistakes and wrong assumptions. You would had my support on this if you were dealing with some nutcase guy, but that's not the case. If you had acted more professional we wouldn't read your thread now.....

i understand this is the wrong way at dealing with an unfortunate misunderstanding, but its just as wrong as sending someone an email basically accusing them of fraud, and not to do it again etc... without even talking to me...

Shok from Siccash already stated that he wanted to can my account, no questions asked. seriously, what company does that?

Normal webmaster method:

Email Shok back, explain everything that happened, laugh off the $20, both parties are still amicable ( Phatzane, www.dictionary.com if you have to look it up )

Phatzane method:

Take it to the boards, give up the account, whine over $20, call Brad Shaw names, call Siccash a shitty program, alienate yourself further from webmasters here, look like a tool that freaks out over something that wouldn't cause even Juicy D Links to post.

Yeah, that part seemed to get overlooked by a few people.

Raw:unique:sale conversion numbers are one of the first lines of defense in fraud flags. Then you factor in sales:cancels:refunds/credits and the sirens start going off to boot.

I'm still amazed that after Greg was quite professional in his email to the guy that he went off on the boards like he did.

So this guy is all cranky because you guys took away a sale that he admitted wasn't legit? Phatzane... from what I understand the only sale you ever had was a fraudulent signup, what are you bitching about? I'd can your ass, Greg was pretty polite about it.

hmm he should have lied ??

Any legit sponsor would allow 1 test join.

A test join with notification is worthless.

Although everything worked properly in this case it seems ( except the outcome )..

If i did a test join and a sponsor contacted me about it , then everything basically worked properly..

I sure dont want to share my revenue with some webmaster doing 50 test joins ( fraud ).

I dont think a sponsor should be blamed for wanting answers from an affiliate from ( any sale ) . Although the wording of such is obviously key in keeping an affiliate happy.

smokey... if you did a test join .. and then emailed us to let us know... it would not be a problem...

I asked him if he had someone do a "test join" he admited to it.. so I told him.. that we would just deduct that join from his account.. and his account would be left open.. we didn't even "fraud" him out... he chose to act like an idiot...

could you imagine what it could cost a PPS company if they let everyone of their affiliates do a test join??? we have over 20,000 accounts... if everyone of those webmasters did a "test" join.... it would be a very costly "test"... please don;t try to read into this too much.. they guy has no traffic... one hit and one join.. from his friend...

I actually gave him the benefit of the doubt and asked him ... in a polite way.. If I didn't handle this professionally.. I apologize.. and I hope someone can please tell me how to do my job better.. thanks

I told him the truth, that the girl i had done my first scene with bought a membership to see her scene. I didnt know anything about it until after the fact, and i had nothing to do with it. but im accused of fraud?!

Now because i met this person twice, ive been accused of fraud, and informed that siccash being so generous, that i can keep my account but wont be paid for for my signups?!

Greg's email says "in the future, if you want to show someone your work just ask us for a user pass"

first off i have userpasses to every siccash site as well as they are on dozens of my other user passwords on sites as feeds.

second, i didnt tell her to check out the site. on my site the link says "my first scene" because people kept emailing me asking which one was. She knew she was my first scene, and i in no way sent her a fucking link!

Anyway i told those scamming fucks to keep their money and close my account, i dont want to be associated with scumbags like that, who just jump to conclusions and accuse me of fraud....
Technically your in the wrong.

greg you're so full of shit your eyes are brown...

i dont know the term "test join" as being a webmaster is not my main source of income, and i only have one site and promote sites only ive been on. i have no knowledge of your geeky webmaster terms. which is why i emailed you again immediately because i knew you were up to something. you honestly think if i was scamming you, id be like "oh ya dude that was me". as you can see you basically just helped me by showing them i told you i didnt know she bought the membership. i tried to contact you and you did nothing to get in touch with me. i mean you got my phone number dude, grow a fucking set of balls.

think for one second why i would scam you for $20. so i can split it with my friend $10 each, and pay her back for her credit card charge? it would cost me $$$ to this elaborate $1 trial scam on you lol

i got $10 in empty soda cans in my garage fawwwk off...

i am own3d...for actually thinking you'd do something about this other than your "attourney-like" responses and portray your "you are a fraud, case closed" attitude. real professional...

no don't get me wrong, i think it was handled properly , honestly i dont think we saw every conversation that took place, but it seems you handled it politely and properly in my opinion.. The outcome sucked for phatzane , but perhaps he didn't understand the process that got the email sent to him about the signup.

I was just trying to mention its not a "fraud" situation , but more like an affiliate who didnt understand that because of the way it happened it would "surely" hit any "red light" fraud protection in place. Regardless of the intent.

When i mentioned that all sponsors should allow test signups ( without prior notification ) i didn't mention , that if an affilaite does do this it's under the affiliates obligation to contact the sponsor and let them know within 48 hours that they did a "test" signup , because lets be realistic , a test signup is worthless with "notification".

That being said this wasn't a "test signup" or a fraud , but more of a misunderstanding

so someone clicks a link form his site that has a referal code in it and she signs up and it's considered fraud because he talked to her? Shit/

SO if we talk to people and they sign up it's fraud?

No talking allowed?

I don't follow.

If it weren't for him you wouldn't have gotten the sale most likely. So what's the big deal?

Normally I think this kid is an idiot but I have to side with him on this one.

Well the shame is , that its just a wierd occurance that just doesnt happen very often..

I totally agree that it wasn't fraud , and furthermore , i dont see any reason why you shouldn't still recieve credit for the sale.. You did what any affiliate is supposed to do.. you marketted the product for them.. no shame in that..

Maybe you just thought the intent was wrong on their part in how they contacted you * maybe theres something i didnt read * but that kind of sale is going to throw up red flags at any affiliate program..

Not being a webmaster, you obviously didn't realise that one hit + one sale + one cancellation = flagged for fraud investigation.

Now you do.

The End.
