Restoring Lost Directory - need help
so i was double clicking to open a directory on my harddrive and i guess the button stuck and it looked like it dragged the folder to the one below it, well now the entire folder is gone on my HD, i tried searching and nothing from that folder appears, i checked harddrive space and it lists its still taking up the space but cannot find the folder anywhere, its not hidden, using XP, any ideas on retrieving this folder?

Good luck recovering that data. I had something similar happen to me. There are a bunch of recovery tools out there that you could run yourself, but chances are that you're just going to fuck it up more.
If the data on their is important enough to you there are companys out there that do data recovery. It's expensive as fuck though, you're looking at $700 plus easily. |
