It pisses him off that I have a better degree than he does, thats why he keeps calling me a kid. He wants to be known as an intellecutal and as of tonight, he wants to be a tuff guy.

Its not going to end well for a guy in his first year of martial arts training to tell a stranger that he can break both of their arms in 30 seconds.

I'm guessing he is playing the odds and thinking I'm a computer nerd / high school Audio video club president turned pornographer.

I got some bad news, he better quit partying on his new yachts and start taking two karate classes a day because I'm not what you would call an average size guy.

If he is studying BJJ, it wouldn't take a year to do what he says. I can armbar pretty much anyone who has no training on the ground regulary within 2 months.

Unless you train to fight and are that size due to it, being big is more of a hindrance than anything else.

I'd like to see this happen, but you know how this goes.

Well...I have an Associate Degree and over two hundred units total with my time at L.A. State...but no Bachelor Degree...as I changed majors to many times. I suspect I could apply for and qualify for a Liberal Art Degree...but I did not and do not have a desire to do so. I went to the University after I was medically discharged from the military in '92...basically to kill time and clear my head. I made good grades...but the University scene was really not for me.

I was trained in LINE when I was in the military and was really quite expert in it...but I haven't kept the edge. I work with weights so I keep good upper body strength but...because of my back my hips and legs lack strength and good movement...but I am satisfied that I can still kill or maim the average bear. The real problem lies in the fact that if I become unaware of my movements I can end up paralyzed from the waist down.

I really have alot of respect for your military background. The Hardwork and sacrifice are the character traits that probably helped you be successful in your other ventures.

I was in no way saying that a degree equals success or intelligence. I know plenty people without degrees that are extremely smart and make a ton of money. Its just another one of rich's reasons why he thinks he is smarter than everyone.

I went through undergrad on a football scholarship and stayed around and worked in the athletic department after I finished. They asked me if I would accept tuition to grad school as part of my salary. Until then, I had no desire to get a masters degree. It was paid for and they weren't going to give me the money instead so, I spent a few years getting my MBA. I dont use it, but I have it in my back pocket for a rainy day.


As far as the military training, we have a buddy that was a navy seal, that is a dude that I would not fight for 100,000 bucks. He once told another guy, (NFL offensive linemen by the way), that he would kick his ass just using his knees and elbows. Everyone believed him.
