Dreamweaver Users or Experts!

I am tryng to do some find/replace on dreamweave and for some maddening reason it wont let me access the view>code or code and design on the page I am editing.
WTF!!
Any ideas?

did you try and

hit F10

or hit the button up top that toggles it, instead of selecting it from the menu

Hit F10, if not, sounds like you have a defective install. Try updating it.

Goddamned Dreamweaver. Mine is giving me shit lately, refuses to pop a broweser window and show me what the design looks like (F12). It just sits there and does nothing...grrrr

My dreamweaver always screws up. I end up having to reinstall it every couple of years. And yes, its paid for. Good luck!

for some reason mine just started using F11 instead of F12...F12 just hangs there, F11 pops open internet explorer

Thanks everyone, I've tried all those things you suggested but still no good.f10 gives me codeinspector but i need to find/replace.
It may be a defective install and it is a cracked copy but it was working ok before..Its kiling me.

once you VIEW html/source with f10

or the button that allows you to view source, click a few, or search for the view source button, it'll show up...once you get there

do a

cntrl F

or a

cntrl H

one of those will allow you do a find/replace, I use it all the time like a charm





PS: if the f10 for code view isn't working for you

look for the button that shows a

<>

on it....thats' the view code button

it also happens when the wrong extension is added if no .htm .html it wont open.
