You don't need to SHOW them what you do - but IMHO honesty IS the best policy with family and friends. As long as parents can see their kids doing well, happy and healthy, and not breaking the law they tend to be happy for that..

your family and neighbors will eventually know what you do for a living if they don't already know. if you are a USA webmaster you can be sure of that because of 2257 record-keeping requirements. if you choose to make a buck producing really nasty shit that degrades others, or appears non-consensual you will suffer the social consequences---you may not care about this, but there will be social consequences. and if you produce content that is beautiful, that shows models having a good time, showing activities that ordinary people do in a loving manner (no matter how explicit) your family and neighbors' gossip will be slightly different. the social consequences will be more beneficial to you if you take the high road. |
