Violent video games "promote" murder a lot more than that site.

Do you believe that all violent video games should be banned?

You should start a politically correct group to ban all killing in video games!

Go on every fucking gaming sites and you'll see TONS of Marines, Army.. ads.. why do you think so!?? Sure not everyone fantasing about being an elite soldier will enroll to become a ranger.. But there's an interesting percentage that will go for it..

I must have missed the page on that site where the author was telling people to commit rape and murder. Link please.

Every rape and murder is NOT born out of pre-existing fantasies. Most murders are spur-of-the-moment crimes of passion, actually. Real rapes might often be done by those with such fantasies, but this doesn't appear to be a site displaying real rape, or real anything for that matter.

People who can't see the difference between fantasy and reality need to get their head examined....

You made the comment that content that "promotes" illegal activity is bad. Be consistent if you are going to support thought crimes.

Video games definitely promote murder if that site does.

When are you starting a petition to ban killing in video games?

They are if they are advocating and counselling others to commit real acts of those crimes, yes.

Fantasy sites with no advocating or counselling are still legal though, and are protected under US freedom of expression and free speech laws.

Fantasy is not "illegal".

Some GFY members and church groups want everything that offends them made illegal but the first amendment keeps getting in the way.

Well.. I guess you missed the point where I said fantasy can lead to reality.. Especially when that fantasy is being fed to an already sick twisted mind... Would you give child porn to a pedophile? Would you propose the movie "Natural Born Killer" to someone that you know has fantasy of killing people..?

Oh btw.. would you let your kid stay for couple of hours at the house of a man you know is into those rape/murder fantasy..?

And Oh.. if someone started a site displaying his fantasy of killing children (no nudity) with gruesome pics (fake) and all.. Would anyone object.. or would you all say its Harmless..?!

On a similar note, I came across a strange story on an adult story site. I don't know what was more sick, the story, or that I read the entire thing

One of my brothers is a huge fan of fantasy horror and erotic horror, including horror content in the extreme. I would, however, get on his case about using stolen conten to indulge his fantasies.

Relax Mutt. I agree that the site should be suspended, just not for the exact reasons you're stating, that's all. It's not that it's my cup of tea either, but there is so much fantasy violence in TV, games and movies out there that it is downright hypocritical of us to want to nuke something simply becaues it's on the internet and not in a game or movie.

And like Lenny said earlier.... it's a slippery slope. When setting yourself up as the decider of what is acceptable for others to think about and view is quite presumptuous, wouldn't you say? I would rather support someone's right to freedom of expression (where legal) than remove that right. Because, it's only a matter of time until someone then wants to remove YOUR right to it as well.

Why is it that just about everyone who says "you missed the point" in this kind of thread are actually the ones who themselves are missing the point?

Defending free speech is bad now?

The "right wing" wants all porn made illegal. Many of them don't see any difference between Max Hardcore and Playboy.

Just because something offends you or me doesn't mean it should be illegal.
