Hosting Companies, Help

We switched to Split Infinity because of support issues with our last hosting provider. We appreciate their services and understand that many of you on this board are pleased with their services, however; recently, when we've needed them on support issues, they haven't been up to our standards on response time. For example, today we needed our server rebooted, and when I call their support line, when I press the number to connect to a technician, I'm told that the tech is on his way to the server location facility to restart. It's been over an hour and our server's been down, that means we've easily lost 10-15 sales during this period. This is unacceptable in our view, so I'm asking all hosting companies to post your reputation on here and try to win us over. Because, I'm sorry to say, Split Infinity isn't winning anything with us( I apologize for the bad comments, we are certainly not looking to bad mouth a company on here).

We're looking for a dedicated hosting provider with excellent 24 hour phone/email support who will pick up the phone and deal with our problems A.S.A.P.! That is our #1 priority in a hosting company, and if you can claim that, please post some info on your company. Thank you all!

good 24/7 support is not cheap, does your contract include management? Your hosting provider should offer remote power ports to reboot your own server when needed.

Were with m3 (sig) and oxeo, both more then fine. But whats more important, does split refund? m3 and oxeo both do if downtime occurs. Im happy they do, even if the fault isnt theres like a major electricity problem, m3 compensated that, thumbsup.

sometimes techs are out, I know it sucks, we run a few facilitiues and we are mostly johnny on the spot, but it has happened. We have an awesome network, but rather than say we are the greatest, I will say, we are human and have failed some. On the bright side, every box in our colo gets a web based power rebooter so before you call thech, just reboot it from home by yourself. signing off

Let me please emphasize that my intentions on this thread were not to bad mouth Split Infinity. Again, they have an incredibly good reputation on the GFY community, as well as elsewhere. In fact, the company that hosts GFY even was surprised when I spoke with him about not being too sure of Split's support.

I just want to be sure I'm getting the best support available. That is my only intention of this thread. So apologies if I scared any current Split Infinity subscribers.

And to all who posted replies, thank you, and hopefully I'll finish getting back to you by tomorrow!

Thanks again

RBP in the sig is for " Remote Boot Port " ... You need that absolutely. You also have in WHM " gracefull reboot" and " forcefull reboot "....
If asll that doesn't work. phone in for emergency reboot... about 15 min to get it done.

Check your next host to have these features....

There was a 20k user survey that even new hosting customers where smart enough not fall for the 100% uptime guarantee lie.

I just laugh when I see it. so unprofessional.

Although you can play word games and simply say you will give money back with anything less not that you actually have 100% uptime.

Verio is Garbage and tier one is not enough. We got rid of Verio for terrible performance about 2 years ago.

We use two high quality bandwidth providers "Global and Level3" redundantly.

there are a billion hosting co's out there but your best bet is to look at the ones that have big programs on them

www.ISPrime.com
www.NatNet.com
www.SwiftCo.net
www.JupiterHosting.com
www.CandidHosting.com
www.SwiftWill.com

That's the handful that hosts some of the bigger paysites and tgp's that I know of.
