::: The Dirtiest, Filthiest, Most Disgusting Joke EVER Told :::

If ever there was a movie custom made for the GFY crowd..."The Aristocrats" is it.

I saw a press screening for this about a month ago in Hollywood. If ANY spoken word has ever offended you, do NOT go see this movie.

If pushing the outer limits of what you think is the most obscene thing you've ever heard appeals to you, the "The Aristocrats" is your kind of movie.

Coming to theaters in August.

Watch the trailer.

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie
I've read probably a couple hundred versions of the joke, wouldn't mind hearing a couple more...

What the critics are saying:

"The Aristocrats is brilliant comedy? A comedic achievement."
--Stewart Oksenhorn, The Aspen Times

"Poetry fails me in describing what an amazing movie this is. In making
a documentary film about a joke, Paul Provenza has done what no one has
ever done before, or perhaps even thought to do. And he has done it
outrageously well."
--Billy Collins, Poet Laureate of the United States of America

"Raunchy, unsuitable for children, milk-out-the-nose funny, and
surprisingly heartwarming."
--Salt Lake Tribune

"The Aristocrats is unspeakably raw and brilliantly hilarious."
--Shawn Levy, The Oregonian

"At a time when people are so careful about what they say, it's a joy
to experience freedom of expression taken to the limit. Obscene,
disgusting, vulgar and vile, The Aristocrats might be the funniest
movie you'll ever see? A priceless collection of American humor? The
film feels like we're getting to watch something we shouldn't be
seeing. Provenza invites us into these people's homes where we can
almost see their dirty dishes in the sink. It's a relaxed and
naturalistic atmosphere? No lights, no makeup. So what you get is the
real thing, the essence of comedy without artifact."
--James Greenberg,
Hollywood Reporter

"Ingenious? The Aristocrats is much more than a graphic stunt designed
to send everyone's jaws dropping to the floor. It's also a wonderfully
incisive portrait of how the best comedians, like the greatest jazz
musicians, can take something simple and make it uniquely,
unforgettably their own. Perhaps most important, it's also a pointed
and raucous celebration of free speech in America, in all its screwy,
sometimes appalling permutations? The most sweet natured, optimistic
and proudly patriotic movie you will see all year."
--Christopher Kelly, Dallas/Ft Worth Star Telegram

"It's hard to put into words what an amazing experience this film was?
Paul Provenza, Penn Jillette and their team (Emery Emery, you are an
editing wizard!) put together a film that not only had more
"give-me-a-minute-I-can't-breathe!" laughs than any movie in memory,
but also managed to be revealing, thought provoking and even a little
touching."
--Mike Wilson, Ain't It Cool News

"A primer for the style, approach, craft and timing of comic
storytelling.

At the premiere, a dozen attendees walked out? yet a hundred more were
so afflicted by paroxysms of laughter that they were gripping their
chests and begging to be given a moment to breathe before their aortal
seizures became mortal."
--William Booth, Washington Post

"The Aristocrats will astound you? What makes the movie such a
beautiful film is that it has a true love for comedy, for joke telling,
for improvisation, and for honoring the tradition of great American
storytelling. Yes, this is one of the most crude, most offensive, most
disgusting jokes one can imagine and yet, through the jazz exploration
of it that we see here, we come to understand why such a joke is indeed
a beautiful and wondrous thing? only comedians could make a film about
the most disgusting joke you can imagine so joyous, heartwarming and
lovable. There's a true respect for comedy here. There's an honoring of
storytelling and of amusing people. And, surprising as it may sound,
there's a real warmth underlying the entire film? and I defy anyone to
see this film and not think it is one of the funniest films that they
have ever seen."
--FileThirteen.Com

"If The Aristocrats has a purpose beyond making you laugh till your
head hurts, it's to take on the absurdity of obscenity? The Aristocrats
takes no prisoners and makes no apologies in its war against
censorship, and to make you laugh."
--Jason Calacanis, The Independent Film Weblog

"The Aristocrats was one of the smartest, and absolutely the funniest
of the films at Sundance? You know when people praise a comedy saying
they laughed until their face muscles hurt? I laughed myself into a
stinging headache."
--Glenn Kenny, Premiere Magazine

"So much foul humor you can't help but laugh."
--Premiere.com

"You'll laugh till it hurts."
--Peter Travers, Rolling Stone

"Sidesplitting."
--Eric Harrison, Houston Chronicle

"The film is utterly, unbelievably, pants-wettingly hilarious."
--Eric D. Snider.com

"Piss-yourself-funny!? A recommended movie."
--Hybrid Magazine.com

"Hilariously profane."
--Anne Thompson, Reuters

"The Aristocrats is a fabulous ode to the glories of the craft -- and
it's wheezingly hilarious to boot."
--Shawn Levy, The Oregonian

"A huge pat on the back to Paul Provenza for delivering what's not only
one of the most hilarious documentaries I've ever seen, but a film that
perfectly illustrates the creativity and craftsmanship found within the
world's finest comedic artists?If I proposed a 90-minute documentary in
which 100 singers cover the same song, we'd most likely fall asleep
within 21 minutes. Yet The Aristocrats breezes along flawlessly? an
artful and irreverent love letter to the fine art of laughmaking. The
Aristocrats is not just a collection of dirty jokes; It's probably the
most astute and insightful look at comedy that I've ever seen. And
dear sweet lord is it FUNNY." ***** (5 out of 5 stars)
--Scott Weinberg, eFilmCritic.com

"The Aristocrats is hilarious and fascinating from start to finish."
--Tom Charity, Love Film.com

"The Aristocrats will have you doubling over in laughter and sputtering
in disbelief."
--Gregory Kirschling, Entertainment Weekly

"The Aristocrats will be the cult classic of the year."
--Joan Hathaway, WMBR Cambridge, MA
