What books would you guys recommend for first time investors, who's trying to learn the market from the ground up?

Real Estate Investing for Dummies
Eric Tyson,Robert S. Griswold

Real Estate License Exams for Dummies®
John A. Yoegel

What are some other books that have helped you guys?

This guy has good no-bullshit self published books- be sure to read his take on the various 'gurus' out there including Rich Dad Poor Dad....

I've been living by that motto for a while now

I'm just looking for the meat and potatoes, not looking to make a million over night.

There's a few friends of mine that are in their early 20s and allready own 150k plus cars and have a healthy savings account, all due to propperty investments and reselling. However, unlike them ... I was not born into a rich family. They have one up, seeing as their family has been doing propperty investments for ages.

You are way to late

interest rates went up again for the 10th time in a row.

My only advice is to buy the worst house on the best block.

It's possible to buy high and sell low... and still come out ahead once you factor in the tax breaks like accelerated depreciation.

I think the Aug is the time to switch from realestate back into stocks. But thats just my opinion. They said buy low sell high. If you want realestate exposure why not buy CD they own coldwell banker one of the biggest realestate brokers in the country but they also pay a dividend, have other businesses. and a very low valuation.
