Synchronize email on two PC's?

I got two computers in different locations (office and home) which both run Outlook Express for email. Was wondering if there was a way to synchornize the email so that I have up to date refrences of all emails at work and at home. Anybody know how to do this?

Couldn't really find much for Outlook Express. Here's a MSN support article for outlook:

Mayor and Wizzo over at http://www.stiffycash.com use this funky online thing that does it for them.

Wizzo's gonna show me how to use it whenI was there, but I got sidetracked, but it looks the bomb !

Hit them up at PornCity.

You could set up a rule in outlook to forward all mail to another account at your home vice versa.

setup pop1 at the office
setup pop2 at home.

Any mail that comes to the office forwards a copy to pop2 and any mail that comes to home forwards a copy to pop1

Use IMAP on your mail server. Everything will be synced with no problem.

Two people work on my site, I just setup all mails to admin@... to forward into another account.

Problem is we always have to copy each other in on replies or people get replied to twice.

Set the accounts to leave the mail on the server for 5 - 7 days - whatever works for you, then duplicate the accounts. You'll get all the mail at both places.

Just try to remember if you already replied from one place or the other

Pick which machine you want all of your mail to permanently reside on....let's say it's your home machine. Configure Outlook (if you insist upon using that piece of shit) to use POP3 to transfer the mail (this setup is fairly typical).

On all other machines you wish to access your mail from, configure Outlook to use IMAP.

Basically, IMAP allows you to manage email *on the server*...you can read, delete, whatever. POP3 downloads all your mail to your local machine, and you manage it there.

So in the above scenario, you can read mail and delete unwanted crap at work, then when you get home, all your mail gets downloaded to that machine.

Of course, once it's downloaded to your home machine, you can no longer access it at work. If you must have to access your entire email folders from both places, you'll have to either keep all the mail on the server (accessing it via IMAP from all machines), or come up with some VPN strategy.

Hope this helps!

nice suggestions in this thread, but i wish there was a real way to sync outlooks with each other, that way you wouldn't have to keep track of who you replied to and all that, plus you could keep pop settings

you can use IMAP instead of POP3 and make sure on both OE's you set the "leave a copy on the server" This way you can also see the sent items as well on both pc's
It aint complicated...just choose IMAP when opening an account in OE.
If it don't work out the buzz me on icq
