Gambling programs . . . who?

Who do you promote, and why do you like them over the other guy?

Do you prefer PPS or revshare, and how much do you get?

Yes, I have a reason for asking.

I send most of my traffic to Casino Coins and Referback - Casino Coins because their casinos aren't as exposed as some of the others, and both of them because I've had good results from them :-)
I use revshare - in the short run pps may do better, but all you need is one whale, I've had single players drop as much as 8-10K in a month, which is very nice money on revshare :-)

I met a guy that says he works for Party Poker at internext. I asked why adult sites could not promote them. He seemed appaled and was like what are you talking about. I explained to him their support had said it was not ok. He then said what are you talking about do you think they would know the answer. Start sending traffic. Finally I look in their terms and see this ...

3.2.1 Place Marketing Materials on any online site or other medium where the content and/or material on such website or medium is libellous, discriminatory, obscene, unlawful, sexually explicit, pornographic or violent or which is, in our sole discretion otherwise unsuitable;

Does not look like adult sites can promte them

Well, not exactly . . . I have a program that approached me to do some work for them. As I am not really into gambling sites and I don't easily associate my name with any program, I am doing some research.

I've not been impressed with the 3 I signed up to promote. 2 never even sent the signup verification emails (I even monitored the spam folder) and the other is constantly changing their sites and where the links I've placed go.

Some of these guys really need to get a clue on how affiliate programs should work imho

Anyone interested in selling gaming traffic from adult just email us.

[email protected]

We have around 20 casino's live and we don't care about the source too much as long as it isn't spam.

Based on the advice of my attorney, I'm staying clear of revshare casino sponsors based on recent crackdowns from the DOJ.

This sponsor is based in Europe . . . what did your atty say about the reach of the DOJ there (if you don't mind sharing)?

Is there a difference in your exposure with revshare as opposed to PPA?

Why would the US DOJ concern you as a Canadian?

From the way he presented it, revshare based programs can be construed as a partnership with the casino (not of entire earnings but of the portion you referred). Even though the TOS might say you are not entering into a partnership with such a company then it may still potentially be seen as being in partnership with an offshore casino. Just because the US government is cracking down on casinos (and affiliates) doesn't mean I should necessarily worry since I'm in Canada, but its no surprise that Canada follows US laws pretty closely and this is not something that's worth the risk for me.

It doesn't matter where the casino is located, at least the way he described it. What matters is where you're business is located and if the government could make it seem that you are a partner into an offshore casino.

Interesting point of view. I don't know of any affiliates in the US that have ever been prosecuted for promoting online gambling, let alone in Canada. I follow the industry closely.

To answer baddogs first question, I can tell you from an industry stand point that most veteran affiliates prefer the revshare option although the high PPA that some of the casinos are offering do look tempting. Like porn though, the long term money is in the revshare, especially when dealing with established casinos that retain players.

Yes, selling traffic on a PPC/PPS basis I see as being fine since those revenues are not directly related to profit/losses of the casino (which could be seen as a partnership).

I don't know of any prosecutions but this guy is a very conservative attorney. Basically, he's giving me worse case scenarios and online gambling is one of those really touchy areas.

If anybody needs a PPC sponsor for gambling/poker related sites, let me know.

Top advertisers are bidding $3 per click.

ICQ me for more info.
