Sick of hockey talk yet? Well, at least I'm trying to get a thread or two talking about the Olympics without arguing about wars and shit.

It was 2-2 just a minute ago, but I see now that Belarus got a penalty and the Russia has scored 2 quick goals. So, 4-2 for Russia, in the 2nd period of the Bronze medal game.

Good game so far anyway.

So, is is that no one's interested in hockey until the Canada-US game? ... or is it that no one's interested in Russian hockey, or.... is it that no one's interested in anything that isn't about a big flame-out war?

7-2 for Russia, and a Bronze medal, some great powerplay moments in the game as well. I gotta hand it to Belarus though, they played well in these games and had a storybook upset over the Swedes to take home as memories.

Guess the only thing left to add her is for tomorrow....

considering Belarus will play in the "B" class from now on (after the last world cup I think) they played very well in the whole tournament.
but finally russia had something like a DEFENSE and won it .

Ya got it wrong again Stang -- the pair of figure skaters didn't bitch or whine or say one word about it. They were asked 100's of times from US and Canadian media about the unfair marks and their answer was standard "we're just here to skate". It was the fans and the millions of viewers and the world media that spoke up and said something. And they were right in doing so.

You're also wrong about Gretz. Hey Stang, let's not focus on the bad call or the dirty infraction at all, right? And anyone who has the guts to get up in front of the world and point out that something isn't right is a whiner, right? We should all just shut up and be shit on, right Stang?

Hasn't this been the underlying theme of these games all along? Some of it has been needless bullshit, but some of it has been legitimate complaints that warrant some attention.

Jeez man, the game hasn't even begun and you're already whining about how much whining there MIGHT be.

You need to drink. Start now, drink lots. Don't stop drinking until about 2 days after the game is over. This will put everything in proper perspective for you.

Maybe they'll tie, and there'll be a shootout, heh heh. Not that I want the game decided that way, but that always provides some high-level nail-biting anxiety. I bet the heart-attack rate goes way up for the few minutes that a shootout would be on. Gives a whole new meaning to the term "sudden death".
