And another fun thing to know is how much $$ you pay for it...

I pay ~$30/month for Cable (1Mbit in/128Kbit out), no traffic limits. Pretty expensive for the low speed, but there isnt any other choice where I live

Doesn't sound like a bad deal for around $30 though... I used to pay much more for a shittier deal with DSL.

The prices in the UK are still sky high. It used to be £40 ($55) for adsl (500k in/250k out) I'm still on 56k simply due to the fact that I've never got round to calling up and ordering it. The prices have just come down but they are still a lot more than i the US and most other places in the world.

I hate seeing these prices, I pay AUD$225 (US$110) for ADSL 1.5Mbit down, 256K up, 5GB Total Bandwidth. Roughly AUD$0.12 per MB over that.

God I love Australia!!!

I pay about $300 per month for a 1024/256 kbps ADSL connection with 6 static IP-addresses and unlimited bandwith. Pretty much, but 100 times better than a cable connection of $40 per month with problems all the time....

Yep, and dont we love them.

I am just under the 5GB limit but there are 3 people sharing the connection. Gets to be a juggling act at the end of the month to stay under.

My current connections sucks but we are moving in the summer about 15 miles. The local telephone company there offers sdsl 768k up and down for 60 a month. Which is more then enough to make me drool after doing 56k for so long

I have a package deal, which gives me a 1.5mb/s cable modem and full cable, all of the movie channels, the works for $99.99. Those pricks just raised it up though, it used to be $89.99 per month.

I pay $30 month for the fastest cable in USA (im not bullshitting), I have had the service for over one year and even at peak times such as now (9:48PMEST), I have a download speed of about 8000k (1MB/sec) and an upload speed of about 900k (about 115KB/sec). I use OptimumOnline. If it is in your area - GET IT!!!

Yeah, I'm on Verizon DSL out here. Not too fast but I got 4 machines online for $49.95 per month. My first two sales everymonth pay for that so it's practically free.

dsl. adsl to be exact.
i have 2 options for broadband over here in holland: cable or adsl. cable is very unreliable in holland so that's why i picked adsl - 512kbit/128kbit for about $45.-/month... unlimited bandwidth (fair use policy). not very cheap but i dig it... it's affordable and i like the reliability of the uptime and speed...
pro'ly i'm gonna upgrade soon to 1024kbit downstream (1mbit)... lots more expensive; about $70.-/month or so but hé, i'm online non-stop so if something is worth it then it's my internet connection.
