This is a very cool concept, Jack.

I like how it allows you to customize the appearance of the flow of information.

Love to see this type of innovation from a JayMan Cash affiliate!

And, I might add, Raven Riley never looked so good going down as she does going up.

I think RSS Feeds are very useful. An example of a unique way to get your message to your customers is by using RSS feeds in toolbars. One company doing this is Effective Brand (http://www.effectivebrand.com). They allow anyone to create their own toolbar for their visitors. I quickly built a toolbar to show how this could be done. I put the link in my sig (http://bittorrent.ourtoolbar.com). This toolbar pulls information from several different torrent tracker sites. Very useful for the users but also allows the opportunity to develop customer loyalty.

Just my 2 cents.

Combining the terms "RSS" and "Blogging" puts New Mexico Vet on page 1 for NEWS.

Story

I don't care what anybody here thinks is relevant or newsworthy. But, if you disagree with Google, you're an idiot --

It has NEVER been this easy for the oft-marginalized to get visibility.

Every few months (used to be every few days) someone comes along and claims that [insert latest 'net craze here] will be the next "killer app". 99.3 times out of a hundred they are wrong.

RSS is very cool. It is a great technology. It is also *too* good.
It is already being manipulated by spammers and along with blogs, RSS feeds are being saturated everywhere you turn.

The average human who desires RSS feeds are being more and more selective about what they receive. They don't want a ticker bloated with useless, spammy headlines. They want relevance.

As more and more feeds are produced, the less eyeballs to go around (if that doesn't make sense, read paragraph above) and obviously, the less resulting traffic and sales. This leads to the "fringe" feed producers not wasting their time.

I absolutely agree that RSS is great for "us" but with everyone jumping on the bandwagon to deliver this to the end user, I can see another 'net craze just falling short of the killer app moniker.

Right now, I'm enjoy the short-term gains from pushing feeds but not obsessing over it. Been there done that.

1. Webmasters need to put "sponsor" content on their pages.

2., RSS does that better than anything yet so far.

3. Users will decide what web sites are filled with crap (spam) and which pages and sites they want to bookmark, same as they always have.

4. If you think this is a "flash in the pan" explain Google's $140 million investment in the technology -- NEWS

5. Oh, my gosh -- THE TOP NEWS SEARCH RESULTS ARE ALL BLOGS!

You need a reader or aggregator to run the site.

I like magpierss. Easily configurable and once its up on your server its just pasting the code to where ever you want it shown.

RSS is just a tool you fucking noob.. it have been here for years, and we have been using it to syndicate content across THOUSANDS of sites. SYNDICATION is what you should be talking about, not one of the protocols.

Its like saying "water is fun" when what you really is trying to say is "I like surfing the waves"
