kre8tor & bratt = wilma victims!

i am REALLY starting to dislike hurricanes...kre8tor and bratt have been victimized by wilma. they have a tree through the roof of their house, with temporarily no way to fix it, because kre broke his foot during the storm. they are also using a gas-powered generator, and told they will be without electricity for possibly 2-4 weeks. when i talked to bratt, last night, they only had five gallons of gas left.

they need our help: (1) if someone can possibly get some fuel to them, they are in broward county. (2) bratt also says they have depleted what little funds they had. (3) they are boiling water, however, they appear (at this time, to be ok on food. i'm not sure how long that will last.

if anyone can help them in any possible way, feel free to message me on icq: 328598121. or email me for their paypal or epassporte info: karlamichelle at gmail dot com.

i am sure most of you know both of them...they are my VERY close friends, as well, and really need some help.

thanks!

That explains it, Bratt called me twice but I wasn't around my phone, no message was left. I tried to call back but didn't get through. I was hoping they were okay. I will hit you up!

Then what do you have to say to all the people in Cali. they choose to live on a fault line and they have earth quakes.

Let me guess, you think everyone should move inland from the coasts?? Oh, Wait. What about the people in the Mid West?? Should they move because of the tornados?? And the people from the Mississippi river. they should move because of the flooding?

Just where the fuck is everyone supposed to live???

I am sure that you have an answer.

i dont have anything to say... its a free country and you can live anywhere you want. BUT if you choose to live on a fucking fault line dont come to me saying "oh my god, i can't believe it, i was victemized by an earth quake"

i dont give a fuck where anyone lives. if you choose to live in a fucking trailer in tornado alley... your problem. dont come to me every 6 months crying and saying "i was victemized AGAIN, by a tornado"

just take responsibilty for it. be prepared and accept the fact that you can lose everything at any given moment and thats the deal you signed up for. why the fuck should my tax dollars pay for some inbred fuck to get his trailer blown apart every 3 years?

i actually wasn't asking for your tax dollars, i was just asking the board to help some good people (webmasters) who i (and most others) know very well. obviously, hon, you have "issues." thank goodness you've apparently prepared yourself for any possible emergency and have contingency plans. maybe you should apply for a job with fema. it seems they could use your kind of help.

I don't mean to sound ignorant, but how can you run out of money in a week or so? If ATM machines/banks/etc not being open is the problem, then will Paypal funds help at all?

hey peaches!

not a dumb question at all. i understand SOME atm machines and banks have power in their area. if you live on the "non-important side" of the power grid, i guess you have to WAIT until they get around to you, so they need to buy gas for their generator. as far as running out of money in a week, i'm pretty sure that's possible for MANY who may NOT be "high rollers," like you, lol. i can assure you, if -->I<-- had to deal with a major emergency, i, myself, might end up hard pressed for funds. money doesn't grow on trees, hon.

oh wait! when i went totally blind for 3 months and HAD to come up with the thousands in necesssary funds for eye surgery and related medical issues, i just pulled a wad of cash out of my pocketbook and said, "sure, no problem!" N-O-T! and i am still paying the bills. nice to see your compassion, there, peaches. foregive me if sound a bit harsh, but maybe you could use a dose of reality.

yea so everyone on the east coast of the US should just move right? How about all those losers that live in Cali with the earthquakes? Or those dumb fools who live up north with snow storms and floods? Where is everyone going to go?

man disasters happen everywhere and while you may not see it people are considered victims of them, i mean if you look at it there arent many "safe" places to live in the states all of them have problems they are prone too, tornados, hurricanes, snow storms, earthquakes i mean the list is endless and it covers most of the usa. anyway sending a prayer out to them and hope they fair well

Seriously, if you are running out of money in a week, then you have bigger issues than what a hurricane is causing. That's just a fact - it has nothing to do with compassion. I don't mean to sound harsh but there's your dose of reality.

I know Kre8tor and Bratt and I like them a lot. And I'm not a high roller by any stretch of the imagination. But I know I could go a week w/o power and not run out of money. I'm willing to bet 90% of the people who have been in this biz as long as Kre8tor, Bratt and I have been can say the same.

I wish all the best for them and hope they can get things straightened out with the hurricane damage and whatever other financial issues they're having.

peaches, this thread was meant to help out a couple friends of mine. it wasn't meant to be a debate about how much a webmaster should or shouldn't have. if you feel you need to say more about this, wait till kre8tor gets back online, as i am sure you know each other quite well. for the record: nobody asked me to do this. i am doing this because they are my good friends and are having a VERY rough time. i ALWAYS try and help my friends.

to you assholes talking shit about those suffering from hurricane wilma and prepardness -

you better hope i dont meet any of you and any trade show, ya fucking ingnorant douchbags-

mike/kre8tor and i live in the same area and its a fucking war zone here

i was at Kre8t0rs home last night and hes is seriously fucked - hes gotta fucking tree on top of his house and broke his foot during the hurricane.

so any help on his behalf he would be GREATLY appreciated by him and brat - this goes without saying if any of you know or have met him or brat you know there good people and are not the type to bitch and moan.

gas for a generator is costly and getting it is just as hard - try spending 50 bucks a day on gas to run a few things in your house.

s florida is totally fucked up right now - im posting from a relatives computer, via a generator and a tarp on the roof

Access to banks, grocery stores gas stations ect isnt possible due electrical lines being wiped the fuck out, and laying in roads since monday CREDIT/DEBIT WASNT ACCEPTED - some are open now but were a long way from being near normal

4 gas stations in our whole county were open - your talking close to a million people accessing 4 stations - 6000 people were in line at the working one by my home

also every fucking tree is laying on every streeet making it hard for supplies to get where their needed

thanks to some cool folks helping them out

rita and katrina where 4 and 5 when they hit landfall

boo hoo for them
What does that have to do with anything? In every hurricane, some people get hit harder than others and Kre8tor and Bratt were hit very hard by this storm.

Noboby has to donate or even send well wishes if they don't want to. But here's a good rule to follow: If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all.

I can't for the life of me understand how the first negative comment made it's way into this thread.

I think most people here have been strapped for money at one point or another... and major disasters only add insult to injury. We'll be glad to help... adding you.

sorry but i've been ravaged by two hurricanes this year, I do know exactly what they are going thru but seriously, they should have stocked up with food and water before the hurricane hit, if you have that, you'll be fine, bored as fuck without electricity, but fine regardless.

before Rita hit, I went out and bought 10 gallons of water, a fifth of whiskey, and a bunch of canned food. when I lost power, I didnt have a fucking generator and I was perfectly fine for 4 days until the power came back on.

you have to expect the worse and prepare for these types of things. living in FL and not being hurricane savvy is just fucking stupid as they get hit by 2347294 hurricanes every year.

how in the fuck did that guy break his foot ? did he try and karate kick apart the tree that fell thru his house ?

you got balls assuming and giving advice you fucking asshole especially after being hit by two hurricanes. (NO or TX?)

you know one person may have nothing happen to them or their property and their neighbor gets totally fucked. and both being prepared.

the money is for gas to run ther generator nothing else - the fucker uses 5 to 7 gallons a day.

People were prepared.

hopefully when his foot heals up he'll use it to kick some sense into your ass.

5 to 7 gallons a day? And gas is $10 a gallon?!?

"gas for a generator is costly and getting it is just as hard - try spending 50 bucks a day on gas to run a few things in your house."

My original post was to point out that if ATMs and banks were down, sending Paypal $$$ wouldn't be much help. We went through this when someone else in the biz was out of power until just a week or so ago due to Katrina - there was literally ZERO way of getting money to him - you couldn't even mail or FedEx cash. But it certainly looks like Kre8tor and Bratt are having problems unrelated to the hurricane and again, I truly wish them the best.

I started a post a month or so ago about keeping at least a month's worth of living expense in cash in your home. I hope people realize now that it's decent advice.

i am sure most of you know both of them...they are my VERY close friends, as well, and really need some help.

thanks!
I'm in FL South West. If help is still needed I'd be glad to. Hitting you on ICQ.

stop dodging my question, how did he break his foot ? probably running around outside like a dumbfuck while the hurricane was going on and tripped and fucked it up. did he drop the generator on it ?
When the hurricane was going here, I chilled inside and got shitfaced because thats all there was TO do. it takes a nice bit of physical effort or force to break your foot, what was he doing ?

like I said, they live in FL and not very hurricane savvy, thats their own problem which they put themselves in.

hrmmm....a hurricane is coming.....I should probably take as much cash as I can out of the bank before it hits because power is going to go out......hrm

obviously they dont have the best of logic.

i'm not bashing on either of them, just pointing out their flawed logic in dealing with a hurricane.

prepared enough to have a generator but not prepared enough to think about the fuel and $ it costs to run a generator? LOL come on...common fucking sense.

Stuff happens, and if they need 15-20 dollars a day to run their generator, and cannot afford, just don't use it.

Sounds like they had money problems previously or just want a free ride. With that being said I doubt my 25.00 donation would make a difference. JMO
