My Epassporte Rant

well i've been holding back about them for a while but it has come to a point where it's really getting annoying... about 4-5 days BOTH my epassporte accounts were suddenly "temporarily suspended for unusual activity." maybe because i suddenly had a lot of payments come in for two days. so i call them and they can't even tell me an explanation but instead i get a "ticket" that i've been waiting to get answered since (4-5days).. now with all the funds and electron cards blocked its been a real hassle and headache to get money out of the account.. do they even care that people actually do need the money in their account or atleast an explanation why you decide to freeze the account?

If you think thats bad...

Now imagine you were on vacation when epassporte suddenly decides to "suspend your account", and to top it all off , now imagine you had several hundred domains expiring.

But of course epassporte has wonderfull support staff so that wont be a problem at all, just call them up and explain the situation so the domains wont expire. NOT.... of course as usual the support staff couldnt answer any questions wouldn't listen to reason , causing all the domains to expire.. oh well your just another number.

Its not like domains just expire doesn't most places give you 30 days to get the back?

well i've emailed Shaliza so hopefully she can speed up the slow process.. when people entrust a company with their money, you'd think that account support would be a priority.

hardly the point , so someone has to end their vacation and fly back home so they can fax epassporte a bunch of shit so that their domains dont expire ?? That doesn't sound right..

just dont leave any large deposits on it...

I trust epassporte , but i wouldnt trust them with everything, i certainly would avoid anything re-curring because if they have a problem bills dont get paid shit gets shut off, domains expire etc.

A friend of mine had this as well but it was all sorted pretty painlessly.

I would imagine a computer made the decision so a rep has no idea why the "computer says no"

Imagine if there was a problem and they never locked your account and someone took all your money.

yes that's the only reason i got is that they have security bots running through accounts but it's been about a week and still no official response.

You should never rely on only one company for "mission critical" services.

Your server hosting, domain registrations, online payments etc should be spread out among different companies just in case one of them screws up like in your case here.

And for the love of god dont have your money for next week's groceries sitting on Epassporte!

If you dont have a credit card to re-register your domains with in emergencies then you should get one.

See my entry here:

Do you have all your eggs in one basket?

I thought the limit was 3 accounts per person? Don't be surprised if your 4 accounts stop working one day..

My account got suspended too and its starting to piss me off. If they wanted me to fax some stuff to them to prove i am who i say i am thats fine they are doing this as a business and trying to make money of course they are going to protect themsevles from fraud. But when days go by and nobody even verifies that they recieved your fax it becomes hard to trust that company again with any ammount of money

Epassporte is NOT are real banking institution and is run by a bunch of monkeys. I would never trust a cent to them and their days are numbered imho.

How many threads do you see?
For the majority of webmasters ePassporte works perfect, there are a few webmasters that have had some problems but that will happen with any kind of program/site/processor.

I've never once had a problem with my epass acount. But its scary to hear stories like this. I suspect something triggered it about you specifically if both your accounts got shut down.

Uh wake up. There is a thread every single day about them. Everyone has been affected by their problems (almost daily downtime, wrong balance (eg. $0, etc.)).

Have you seriously seen ANY program or service in the adult industry with more bad threads the latest year or so? If so please let me know.

BTW, I like their service and haven't been affected much myself by their problems. But they have big problems, only an idiot or serious ass licker would say something else.

Much of the downtime occured at the processor and ePassporte is working with them to resolve the problem and limit the downtime.

Also if you don't have confirmed your account and the balance goes over $5K they will require you to sent in proof of identity or the account will be placed on hold.

ePassporte is working on improving customer service.

who the hell in their right mind would count on epassporte while on vacation for something so important??? and not have another source to use as payment, yet they can afford to vacation?

that's not epassports fault, that is just retarded. What if the internet was not working right? gimme a break, you can't blame epassporte for not giving someone priority treatment because they are on vacation and not using their brain.

epassporte is NOT a bank people. think hard!

wtf are you smoking ?

who said anything about not having other sources of payment..?

Your missing the whole point. I didnt buy anything while on vacation it was a RE-BILL, get it ? Do you have to verify every re-bill that goes through your visa account to make sure they go through ? no

They market the epassporte card as a "VISA" card. I have like 10 visa cards. I have bought plenty of domains on several of my visa cards , never once has a re-bill not gone through ( i.e. expiring domain , hosting , car insurance ,etc) except with epassporte who has managed to foul all of the above.

When i'm on vacation , i shouldnt have to deal with business , thats why domains have auto-renew.
