btw, just sat at computer store for 2hrs while 2 guys tried to fix the problem, they couldnt figure out how to do it

we did this so far...........
1. defrag
2. reinstall drivers
3. system restore
4. bios, diconnected touchpad

the only thing the guy could think of was he said to replace my harddisk and use my current as a usb plugin or something like that

I've had it happen with ball mice before, the cursor would randomly shoot into a corner and I was not able to get it away from there. I think replacing the mouse and drivers would do the trick.

I have had this problem with my optical mouse. Turns out the surface I was using the mouse on had flaws that messed with the laser. But with a laptop...I would get a can of compressed air and blast the inner edge of the touch pad...might be a crumb or something wedged in there that is putting pressure on the pad, making your cursor move.

Same problem here on one of my computers. I don't use it too often myself so I never got too worried about it.

On this computer it only did it since I switched to a USB optical mouse. When it had the standard PS2 mouse it worked fine.

Does it still do it with your mouse unplugged? If so it might be the mouse pad on the laptop.

try disabling the default touchpad/nub on the computer. on one of my laptops, the nub mouse is off kilter and slowing drifts the cursor to the top right.

Yeah, try disabling the touchpad. Remove it's drivers or disable them in system settings. And when you reinstall the mouse driver, maybe try uninstalling it, hard booting, then let the Wizard install it (just to ensure it's fully uninstalled before reinstalling)
I had to use that method with a retarded video card once. Simply reinstalling didnt do it. Had to uninstall, reboot, and let mr wizard help.

Every mouse does that to me, no matter what computer it is...desktop and laptop. And, all I have is a regular, non fancy mouse.

Sigh. I've given up trying to figure it out.
