Stay the FUCK away from registerfly!

This is my fault for not monitoring my credit card statement. But in december I made 1 purchase for $29.97. I recieve my credit card statement today.. 3 charges for $29.97 and FOUR MOTHER FUCKING charges for $9.99. What the fuck is this shit? I can't do shit about it they don't answer their phone. Their 'rapid response' support ticket said 'we have forwarded this to our billing department'. Im ready to sue these people but Im not that smart with this stuff. Does anyone know about class action lawsuits? I can only imagine when I get all my new statements sent to me via snail mail how many erroneous charges there will be.

The only thing I can do is dispute all the charges through AMEX they are very nice. And then transfer all the domains I care about away from registerfly. I'm going to cancel my AMEX card so they can't do further charges.

I used them for 1 domain only, and had no problem, but it's good to know what happened to you ...

Transfer first and dispute later or they will take your domains

Dispute the chartges with Amex. Askl Amex to issue you a new card with a new number, and tell them why. They will.

Then get all your new domains with www.namecheap.com

Didn't you already make a thread about this where you said you had accidentally clicked multiple times on the signup?

I use dotster, they are a bit more money, but Ive never had a problem, and the domains propogate nearly instantly. You usually can find a coupon code to use for dotster too. I use FREEMONEY code that makes them 9.95. There are alot doing them for 7 bucks out there, but its worth the 3 bucks for a reliable domain name to me.

Yup thats what I did. That doesnt justify the point that there are 6 charges on my card when their sign up process only failed three times. I can understand if they charges 3 times for $29.97 and I would get a refund for two of them. But there are four more charges for $9.99 and I only bought one domain for $9.99. What are the other three 9.99 charges plus the two wrongful $29.97 charges. Its BULLSHIT and fraudulent.

Hate all registrars - hate dealing with em. One moment they are OK, then a total fuckup and harassment.

The irony is they are paid for the crap service??

i LOVE registerfly... I've been through hundreds and hundreds of domains with them and I usually keep at least 20-30 at any given time with them. Their support has always been great for me, especially the live person support via their website.

I still can't believe in this day and age that programmers cannot code a unique ID into the "submit payment" script. If it has already been seen in the last 24h, print an error saying you've already been charged. How hard is that?

So why make another thread about the same thing? Just give them a call and explain to them what happened, I've never had any problems with their phone support.
