hope they're more responsive than the people who handle the brick and mortar operation....

i apparently left my card at the local Blockbuster when i checked out a few weeks ago.
i called them, and they told me "if any one leaves a card here, we cut it up and throw it out."
so i went in, and they couldn't make me a new card, because I have a gold Blockbuster card and not a regular blue and yellow one.
after a while, after talking to "managers," they decided i had to call a toll free number to have a new card sent out.
i called the number, and they couldn't even deal with me because i didn't have my membership number (which, of course, was on the card i lost).
i asked "can't you look me up by name?"
"no, the system doesn't work that way."
so they had to call the local store to have *them* look up my membership number.
but they couldn't get hold of the local store, because the phone number they had for the local store didn't work.
i had to find them the phone number (it was the same one they had, except for the area code which had changed about seven years ago).
they called the store, got my membership number, and then told me that they couldn't send out cards until January, because they only print gold cards once a month at a print shop- and the process takes 4-6 weeks.
so i would have to call back in January.
i asked "can't you just put me in the queue to have cards printed in January?"
"no, the system doesn't work that way, if i put in a request now, it would disappear at the end of December."

WTF????????????????
