epass alternative - Drama

So tonight I set up an epass account. I made sure the electron card was not selected, I'm not going to pay $35 for a piece of plastic I will never use. After I verified the account and loaded it with $100, I noticed not only was the $5 load fee pending, there was a $35 charge for the electron card pending. So I called them. This was about 5-10 minutes after verifying the card. I talked to some customer service parrot that would only repeat the words "no refund". So I asked for her supervisor, I got some yahoo named Doron. His favorite words...no refund. For something that hasn't even been issued. According to Doron, all I can do is call back on Monday, so his supervisor can tell me no refund. Well I just got off the phone with my bank. Something nice about these small town banks, ya know the kind where you walk in and they call you by your first name. They understand customer service.

Now granted I will no longer have an epass account, and after the way they treated me, I don't want one. Other than paypal, are there any alternatives?

Bad customer service at its best

Not paying attention to customers usually comes back in another way.

I am sorry you had a bad first experience with ePassporte.
If you change your mind let me know and I'll help you get your account set up.

Epass has it's glitches , but it still is a great way to transfer money. I know what you are going through though.

HA!! Acoount is setup. All I wanted was the $35 I was "erronously" charged. Notice, I'm giving you the benefit of doubt here. I'm not saying I was ripped off. Even if I did make sure not to select the electron card. I'm saying it was done in error, and all I got from your parrots was "no refund". Now, I ask you, is that customer service?

Of cause you should have gotten the $35 back no questions asked.
Mail me your account name and I'll make sure the $35 is refunded.

I'll let you know tomorrow. I've been in contact with my bank. May be to late for that. I tried talking to your people and got nowhere, so how come it is you can come here and say you'll get me the refund, when they kept saying policy is no refund? I'm confused.

Because at ePassporte we want satisfied card holders.
You didn't get what you want and are unsatisfied with the service provided. My job is to keep card holders satisfied and assist them with any problems they have and if all it takes for you to become a satisfied card holder is to refund the $35 for the Electron card I can't see why it shouldn't be possible.

I can't answer for the people you talked to at support as to why they declined your request but as you described it you should have gotten the refund in my opinion.

Adding you to icq now. I have had my epass account for over a year now with zero problems, but if I ever do have one, you're the guy I want to talk to.

Do a search on "Epassporte" and notice even the owner's emailaddress is listed in numerous topics. Could have just sent him an email.

Epass is good but I'm ran into some issues myself. For example, I got the card so I can withdraw the money from ATM's. Word of advice to all: DONT USE THE CARD OTHER THAN WITHDRAWING MONEY OUT OF ATMS.

YES works at ATM's which is its purpose, but I have also used it several times at locations where they swipe the card, like the Liquour store

If you call after hours or on lunch break they use a bot for customer service. I've called before also and the bot got stuck on "no refund" so I know what you were going through.

Went to the bank this morning, and before I filled all the paperwork to reverse the charges, I figured I would give epass 1 last chance. Called support and ended up talking to Jamel R. who informed me that epass employess don't post on forums (ha!) and there is no such person as Michael Olsen at epass.

So, the big questionis, who's lying to me?

Things that make you go hmmmmm...

This all sounds strange. I hope you are calling the right ePassporte number. Howeve, Keyser already told you here, in public, you were getting a refund... so why the additional call and drama?

And, for the record, you would not get an Electron card automatically. Our site does not work that way. You have to order it, filling in your address and other data. I am going to have the logs pulled next week to determin what exactly happened, according to our sytems. I will post the reults. In the mean time, we will be refunding your money. Send me your User Name by email and I will have that done ASAP.

I do not know what else we can do for you. I just hope that you don't have any other reason for posting this after your complaint has been resolved.

Things that make you go, hmmmmm?

I have never had any problems with ePassporte. Paypal on the other hand is a freaking nightmare! They labelled us as adult even though we are a web host.
To this day we have a standing dispute with them regarding the funds they are
holding of ours because "we are adult based". Thats BS. 32,000.00 sitting on hold
until our lawyers have time to duke it out. We agreed to not go to court if they
quickly work to resolve this matter. We have a face to face on Feburary 22nd about
this matter. All they could say up until now is "Its our policy", thats BS. LOL
I feel safe with ePassporte despite the problems others have mentioned in the past.
I transact with them all the time and have not been let down. Now, if they could only get it working in gas pumps, that would rock! :-)

Well Chris, so far my complaint hasn't been resolved. I don't have the refund. I'm calling the number from the epassporte web site. I called to try and get it resolved at the request of the young lady I was working with at my bank. Then appreantly I was lied to by Jamel R. He said flat out that there is no Michael Olsen at epassporte.com. So is this standard policy? Lie to customers? I think at this point I have plenty of reason to post. Someone was lying to me. Someone from epass, either Mike or Jamel, lied to me, based on your posting, I gather it was Jamel.

Believe me, I'd like to settle this without all the drama, but the one thing I despise most is being lied to. I'll get in contact with you and Mike, and maybe we can settle this.

It is settled. Email me your User Name. As for Jamal, he works at the Call Center, not in Marketing and while I wish we were all together in a room to know each other, we are spread out across the world. Michael DOES work for ePassporte.

Email me and I will resolve this. No one is lying to you, we are trying to help you.
