He doesn't exist. Since when has a miracle happened in modern times? There hasn't been any. At least evolution is testable. God isn't. I've had a few friends with cancer pray hard for a miracle...Zilch happened in the end. Check out this site... www.simulation-argument.com That's more plausible than any old god.

I do believe there is a greater power. But nonetheless, its better you believe in something that makes you a better person for yourself and society as well. I doubt evolution has made us who we are. I think our origins are from another world.

Years ago I was an echo moderator on the old ITC_Net forum 'Evolution'...back in the days when I still considered myself rather agnostic. Being agnostic, I often found myself supporting arguments from both sides from time to time. For a while I was willing to be convinced in either direction.
These days I've drifted totally towards atheism...for many personal reasons. So, my answer would be no - I don't believe there is an "almighty god" or higher power. From my perspective...creationists cannot make a case for a supreme being. |

religion exists because we are helpless souls stranded on the third rock from the sun cursed with the knowledge of our own mortality. organized religion tries to scare us into not killing each other, raping, stealing, etc- not to be savages.
religiosity is nothing more than an obsessive compulsive disorder. that's my opinion. i'd love to believe - when times are bad I do look to God - hoping he exists and maybe he's listening. i used to say i was an agnostic - but that's just an atheist usually covering his bases.

I believe we make our own lives. period. If you are good to people, good comes back to you...etc.
I have thought for a long time now that the concept of "heaven/hell" is exactly what Kharma prescribes. I believe Heaven or Hell is our own lives on earth. Your own deeds and/or actions dictate this. |

Oh, but he/she/it will help me anyway and not the less fortunate people? oh, then we have the people that pray to "god" daily/nightly so when they die they will go to this heaven place yet these same people are afraid to die/do not want to die.. then fuck praying to some imaginary thing that you will never see. just look at the world and the way it is. o you actually believe that there is a "god"? oh, of course, "god" is just making us learn on our own, right? fuck that. now, if there was a "god" don't you think he/she/it would do things so people would know 100% that "god" exists? religion has people so brainwashed it's pathetic. Also, if there was a "god" don't you think he/she/it would do something about the way religious people are doing things? do you actually think this is the way "god" wanted things to be? Sorry to say, but if I was "god" I would be killing many of these people who do nothing but fuck people over financially, mentally and all other ways. I would make damn sure that all my "children" are well taken care of and not like the way it is now. Simply put, there is not "god" Believe in what you know and see. Believe in YOURSELF! Of course, many people don't even believe in themselves yet they believe in something that has never done anything for them or that they've never seen.

hell NO - people think too much - we were made to fuck and survive, just like all other organisms, nothing more or less.. i dont see chickens start religions and wars.
I do think the mind or whatever will go on when u die, because i just cant imagine that when u die everythings over, your thoughts, consiousness, dreams etc... its a weird thought. But heres when my first point comes into effect again - dont think, live and try to make it as enjoying as possible. |

i think religion gets in the way of the basic idea to be good and kind to your fellow man.
neary every war throughout history was fought due to differences in religion. i believe in spirituality. i believe that we are supposed to be good and kind to our fellow man. i do not however, believe in what most people call "god"... i do believe in a higher power of some type though... my belief is that the bible was given to us from someone or something with a higher understanding of society and humanity... i think the bible is nothing more than an "owners manual" of sorts for mankind... things such as not killing, being monogamous and the like were nothing more than things given to us to ensure the survival of our species... i think religion fucks up a good idea... the idea that we should all be good people and be kind to each other...
