Gov. Arnold Gets Slap On Wrist For Driving Without A Licsense?

http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/01/10/D8F2650OB.html

Okay so you guys already know that Arnold Schwartzenegger fucked up his lip and his son was injured during a motorcycle accident where the Arnold was driving his bike with his son as a passenger. So the truth comes out that Arnold didn't have a motorcycle license! He didn't get ticketed but he may get hit with an infraction fine of up to $250.

Mind you his son is a minor with an unlicensed driver and suffered minor injuries.

What would happen to a regular guy in that situation?

he was riding a motorcycle+sidecar which in the state of california does not require a motorcycle permit, no need for even a slap on the wrist

Exactly. People are just saying that they know he's ridden the motorcycle without the sidecar, which requires the license.

A normal person? Probably get off with a simple warning.

Motorcycle side-car or motorcycle backpack, the keyword is MOTORCYCLE.

He didn't have a license, he's the Governor of the state, endangered a minor.

It may not be a federal offense but it says alot about his lack of responsibility.

Can't treat him any different than anyone else. Anything more than a fine that a normal first time traffic offender would get would be excessive.

That fine is normal.
Now if it was his 3rd or 4th offence, or if his lisence was suspended, it would have been different.

look at the quotes in the articles about it of his responses when a reporter questioned him during a budget discussion. You would think that if you had a motorcycle license in your old country and choose to drive a motorcycle in your new country, you would find out if u need a new license or not. His answers clearly show he basically didnt give a fuck about it. Makes you wonder what he wont give a fuck about while running the state of cali.

I don't know that this is an accurate statement. As far as I know a motorcycle is a motorcycle. I have never read anything or ever heard that there was a difference until Arnold fucked up.

BTW, a $250 fine is closer to $500 after the penalty assessments are tacked on.

Traffic citation fine amounts are not based upon ability to pay. Whether you make $5k or $5 million the fine is the same.

From CVC Section 400. (a) A "motorcycle" is any motor vehicle having a seat or saddle for the use of the rider, designed to travel on not more than three wheels in contact with the ground, and weighing less than 1,500 pounds.
(b) A motor vehicle that has four wheels in contact with the ground, two of which are a functional part of a sidecar, is a motorcycle if the vehicle otherwise comes within the definition of subdivision (a).

So, while his press secretary may think there is a difference, I think the law agrees with me.

25% of motorcycle owners don't have motorcycle licenses. The fine is a "slap on wrist" for everybody, get over it.

ROFL! The cops say they didn't ticket him because they didn't 'see' him driving the motorcycle.

That is what they are saying on the news, but I would sure love to see the vehicle code section that says that.

How you pulled that extrapolation out of your ass is proof positive that Charles Darwin was correct.

Assbrain assumptions like that are what makes me no longer ponder the source of narrowmindedness.

Funny how people expect politicians to be saints. Big fucking deal. I'm not saying he is efficient or not for California, I'm saying this particular incident has nothing to do with how he operates the state.
