Is lending a friend a DVD a copyright violation?
Is it? Just thinking about something I said in another thread about downloading a movie from someone and it being a copyright violation. Well, if I buy a movie on DVD and lend it to a friend to watch, is that also the same thing? Even if he's going to give it back and not make copies of it?
What if I downloaded a movie, watched it, then re-uploaded it onto my server and deleted it from my HD? Isn't that basically the same thing? ![]() Ruling please... |

I think it's only a violation if you copied a movie then rented or sold it. I may be wrong tho...so see other posts on this.

I Norway we can download movies! But it's not allowed to share then online! Lending them to friends are of course legal!
