You mean Paul McCartney had a band before Wings?!

ELO had some good stuff back then...but I liked the work Jeff Lynne did with Travelin' Wilburys later.

As for the Doobies, they were great until Tom Johnson left the band. I didn't care much for the later band lineups (Michael McDonald, pleeeeeeze! lol). Loved their reunion album 'Cycles' - still crank it up once in awhile here.

but it maybe these two:

Hall & Oates (forget album) and some lionel ritchie album. Those are the first i remember.
