His eye condition cut his career too short. I always thought him and Gwynn were likeable players. Boggs had great numbers too but always seemed like a prick. I still have a bunch of Puckett's rookie cards somewhere. R.i.p.

RIP Kirby... my favorite baseball player growing up.

I remember his World Series game-winning homerun and his famous catch against the wall to force extra-innings.

So many great memories : )
