Be quiet during child birth. I'd like to see how many swear words would fly out of his mouth if he pissed a golf ball sized gall stone. (Not even a fair comparison to birth IMO)

You might want to read for comprehension next time. The mother giving birth doesn't have to be quiet. She can make all the noise she wants. Everyone else has to be quiet. Doctors, whoever is witnessing the birth, etc.

I guess it depends which "church" you are a member too. My Mothers friend is a Scientologist and was told quite clearly to keep quiet during birth. Light Moaning was acceptable, screaming was not. Many women scream during child birth. Ofcoarse this post comes from a man unless you are a woman named Donny that has given birth.

I've read plenty and I feel receiving information first hand from a Scientologist to be more informational. I've read up on almost every religion out there out of curiosity and the fact that I love reading. She isn't the first woman to utter these words: "I was told to moan quietly, never scream."

I'm just a little curious here....

I'm sure we can all agree that giving birth to a child is an extremely painful event in a woman's life. I have had pancreatitis several times in my life and it has been compared to child birth as far as pain goes.

My question is this... if there was nobody around you while giving child birth, would you feel the need to make loud screaming noises? If nobody was there to appreciate what you were going through, would you even bother to scream at the top of your lungs?

I also believe that loud noises and vibrations can affect the child upon its passage into our world. I'm sure anyone that has studied this science will agree with me and to suggest a calmer more serene dilivery can't be such a bad thing.
