Dude, I would postpone that trip until things simmer down between India and Pakistan. Things are getting a little tense, and Turkey is just a little too close to that action if you ask me.

Try to fly KLM there, they are usually rated near the top if not the top in customer satisfaction. When I went to Greece we took KLM and the food was great, the flight attendants the hottest, and they gave you fricken headphones so you can listen to those radio things. I hate how airlines are trying to cheap you out now that you have to pay to use the headphones on planes.
That was actually my only trip to Europe, but I fly to Asia a lot and we hop on many different airlines, Air Canada, American, United, Thai, Japan. I would have to say Japan was the best and KLM second ... hope this helps a you. |

![]() I've flown internationally with Air New Zealand, British Airways, United and Virgin Atlantic: Air New Zealand - good food, poor inflight entertainment, attractive staff. British Airways - good food, average inflight entertainment, not so attractive staff. United - average food, good inflight entertainment, average looking staff. Virgin Atlantic - average food, excellent inflight entertainment, very good looking staff. Most international airlines are very similar nowadays. I make international flights about 8 times per year, and normally just go with whatever is the cheapest direct flight. |

Firstly, Turkey is one of the major beach resorts for most of Europe.
Secondly, in a past life I was a travel agent..it all depends where you are flying from but I would aim to get on a major European carrier and change in whatever country they are based. I personally reccomend Air France both for price and service. I flew them from London to NYC (via Paris) right after sept 11 and they were great. On the Istanbul route you also have KLM who are usually good tho have been known to have a few lugage issues but I think those are in their past. British Airways also has a route via London. They are solid with an excellent safety record. A bit more costly than the other two (atleast from this side of the pond) and sometimes a bit cramped but overall good stuff. Also, not going to Istanbul because there is a tiff between India and Pakistan is like not going to New York because there is a war in Peru.
