Wordpress category import plugin
I have looked around forever and I can't find a plugin that will let me import a text file of categories to be added. I have hundreds of cats and I'd rather not manually submit them all.
Does anyone know of a plugin that can handle this? |

Wordpress reads them from an SQL database I believe - why not write a quick script to inject them all?

What dissipate said.
I did it. After getting no where with any import script plugins I wrote one that was not a plugin but is a separate script. Not too difficult if you know a bit of MySQL and Perl or PHP. Also if you have PHPmyAdmin installed you may be able to import in to the DB. But there are some tables that need to get updated after importing. Which could be done from within PHPmyAdmin but the standalone script is the way to go. |

Dvae? care to share that script?
I have a mainstream fish site with 211 categories that I DO NOT want to have to update manually.
