Both US and Russia entered the war in 1941.
Without the US fighting on both fronts, Russia would have fallen. period.

The Soviet Union gets recognition for their efforts during WWII in Russia and other countries that sided with the Soviet Union during the Cold War. They do not give America much credit, just like American schools do not give much, if any, credit to the Soviets. It's cold war propaganda.
