*!* Buying CC BLACKLISTS *!* Does anyone sell these?

Hey I'm looking to buy some CC blacklists of fraudulent / shady users... MD5 hashes of the card numbers would be sufficient.

Does anyone have anything like this or know who I can get in touch with to assist me with it?

Would be nice to get a paycom or ccbill one

am I dreaming? haha

it's probably not legal... you gotta trust the scrubbing going on by the 3rd party processors I guess.

hm, is there a 3rd party service that allows you to compare say an MD5 hash of a CC number or email address against a blacklist database?

this is somethign i would pay for per transaction especially if it is as large as ccbills or paycoms

this service would be great for companies switchign to their own merchant accounts to be able to scrub users KNOWN for charging back

someone put this in place!! make some money off of those blacklists :D

well, MD5 is in theory a oneway hash. What harm would that be? You can generate a hash just by guessing numbers, its getting the cvv2 code, month and year part that completes the pie.

right, which is why i didn't think it was a huge deal... im not asking for full cc info, but just an encrypted way of comparing hashes against a database of known fraudsters

the first larger company (like paycom or ccbill) to integrate a 3rd party API for this and charge per transaction would definitely get some biz from me and several others out there i'm sure of it

I think http://www.cybersource.com is the best one around.
Before you send a transaction to the bank, you can send it trough their system, besides a negative cc database, they also check lots of other factors. They will return a 'score' and you can decide what the minimal score should be to decline it right away or forward the transaction to the bank.

I think ccbill might use them as well although I am not sure.

md5 hash is just as good as the list itself...as anyone with md5 can run it through and get the list...so yea that would be highly illegal for you to sell/purchase a list like that. something needs to be secure about that. netbilling.com lets you run the cards through their system but you have to be using their gateway of course.

yeah, i hear ya... i'd gladly run something through a 3rd party API however i dont want to be restricted to using their gateway (in most cases the foreign banks we've used weren't supported)

i can see it as being a free option for gateway users, or a simple paid (per trans) for option for 3rd party people that just want something to scrub against

similar to the way cybersource or maxmind fraud control work, they charge you like 2 - 5 cents per transaction and run all of these tests on the user info & geo information and return a result for you

i'm convinced that paycom or ccbills database would be significantly larger than the netbilling one... of course i'd use whats available but like "she said", i'd prefer the largest

the CRITICAL point is that their blacklists are ADULT and not just general blacklists

All processors scrub against thier own lists. They all have blackballed lists, even if they dont admit to it. But no one shares.

You could look at something like 41st Parameter. (Google it)

I think our fraud scrubbing is better than Cybersource and cheaper too.

how do you propose that someone with the md5 would come up with the source text? this is not theoretically possible. bruteforce and collisions don't count, either.
