epassporte error message

I was trying to transfer cash from one account to another and got this error message:

"You do may make any transfers until you have a verified load mechanism."

wtf is that supposed to mean - that is a direct cut and paste from the site.

try putting a credit card to your epass account...

Ive had both accounts for over 3 years - never had a problem and I transfer almost everyday - transferred yesterday with no problem. This just happened today after their data base crash.

That's some great English, I suspect they want a Visa or bank account or something attached, maybe their database lost some info in their crash. Dunno. Good luck getting it resolved, hit up Keyser, he's the best solution for most problems it seems. That boy deserves a raise.

You know I've never had a credit card associated with my accounts - fact is I dont use any credit cards. I have more than 1 epass account (there all sponsor accounts) but only use 1 debit card so I just transfer any moneys into the account that I have the debit card for and go to the bank machine and get my cash. This has been working very well for almost 4 years, worked great yesterday, and now a db crashes and everything changes?

Bottom line - I cant get my cash out.

So I just phone epassporte and talked to Yoltha, conversation ended at 1:22AM EST - this woman told me that an email was sent to customers explaining to them that if your account is more than 2 months old and it does not have either a credit card, debit card or bank account associated with it then you will not be able to make transfers. When I pressed her as to when this policy went into effect since I do not have the email in any of my five different accounts she told me she first heard of it about an hour ago.

She also said there is no way I will be able to make a transfer, which means I will not be able to get my money out, unless I provide an acceptable load mechanism.

Nice one epass.

That sucks completely. I've never had a CC tied to my account because it was created by a sponsor, and is loaded with sponsor payouts. I guess that means I'm also caught up in this new unannounced 'policy'

I just got off the phone with epass customer service. You indeed need to have a verified load from either a credit card or a bank account.

I agree, this is *bullshit*. Making a major policy change without notification.

tassy and Keyser were obviously not advised of this either, which is just bad form.

Looks like it's a new policy. Looks like someone over at epass decided that if a person has had his epass account for a long time, if a person does regular transfers without a problem, that person deserves to be punished.
