Would you maintain a listing of a gallery without a 2257 link on your TGP? - GoFuckYourself.com

Many sponsors are maintaing FHGs without 2257 links. Some are even newly listed. I think most of us wouldn't post a new gallery without a 2257 link, but in those archives that date back awhile there are many that don't have the link.

I appreciate the sponsor not dropping a gallery for a very long time. Hate it when they drop the gallery and go to a 404 trap or exit hell or .... Adding a 2257 link would be kwel, but maybe not possible now. My

is replace that URL with a like gallery that has a 2257 link. We can look at the gallery as we do scans and see that the gallery has changed.

What's your opinion on those that that still hosts an FHG without a 2257 link? How would you handle it? For me it is killing all the galleries with out the link. Some of the galleries are damn sweet and hard to do it....

Any opinions?

it's the responsibility of the domain owner which actualy hosts the gallery and this case it's the paysite owner to provide 2257 link . As tgp owner by linking to galleries without 2257 on them , you are untouchable .

I don't care if there is a 2257 link on sponsors' hosted galleries.

Yeah thats my opinion. You are not hosting the content etc just linking to it. Its not your problem.

What about the thumbs on Thumbs TGP sites! who is resposible for them?

It is my understanding that any image hosted on your site is your responsibility. So, if you have a sexually explicit thumbnail that you are hosting and it links to the sponsor gallery, you still have 2257 responsibility for that thumbnail.

Also, it seems that if the thumbnail is not explicit, you do not have any 2257 responsibility. That is why I am trying to convert all of my old explicit images to non explicit.

Can anyone confirm if this is correct?

2257 links are not required, its a due diligence of site owners nothing else.

Not since a few weeks ago I beleive. Now even non-hardcore content needs 2257 I think!

I never understood why some TGP's started asking for 2257 links on galleries. They have no responsibility for whether those links exist or not.

Seems like a lot of points of view on what the real rules are. I'm going for 2257 links only as a risk management issue. As for thumbs, I saw that as a gray area. The thumb is from a listed gallery... I think the enforcement people are gonna try to say that you must have records for the thumb to be placed. The keyword being records.

I suspect a lot will depend on the enforcement end of things. Who's making the claim or wanting to see the 2257. My understanding is that it is a federal issue. Tell that to the Polk county sheriff who complains about obscenity and 2257 to the feds.

Another big question is forums. Take GFY for example. All "the would ya hit it pics" or FUBAR posts? You think there are 2257 records for all of that?
