Abt. Webmaster Controlled Cross Sells
So about 5 years ago while we were running 1 pre checked Xsell, ARS created the option to send traffic to any tour with no xsell. A webmaster turned off the xsell and was paid $10 Less Per sale, going from $40 PS to $30 PS.
This was/is just one of the many join page options ARS gave its webmasters, however my question to you all is this: How come out of 1000's of webmasters not a single person opted to use this xsell free option? Seriously, not a single person wanted to use this option, and now I see all this drama about xsells and other bigger companies jumping on board saying how they now have this same option, or send out a survey about the same thing. Hell we did the same thing and made an entire program Xsell free. (www.hdpays.com) But is it enough, does anyone really care? How can honest companies compete with someone who pays $50-$100 PS with aggressive xselling? Id like to think webmasters will back companies who try to run an honest operation, but I already have some data saying otherwise. The only way the play ground is going to be leveled is for the credit card companies to step in, or webmasters to get on board with honest companies trying to make a change for the long haul. Where are the webamsters who want to send to program that doesn't screw the surfer? We are looking for you @ Hdpays.com |

I am not complaining, not at all. but that's exactly why no one opted for it, they didn't want to lose the extra $10 to not have the xsells on there. Nice idea on paper, but getting people to take a cut in pay to do something isn't the easiest job in the world.

Of course it has, I just dont see why people can complain and then not use the option when given to them. You would not able to pay $50 per free signup unless you hammer the surfer in some manner, which in all honesty is pretty easy to do and manage. Im not asking people to have morals here, but there should be a bigger following to companies who do not take advantage of our customer base, and Im not seeing it so far. Which in itself explains why its almost standard for many programs to try and nail any trial user for $100. Either less complaining and support a honest company, or just take your money and shut up? You cant drop an xsell without taking some money off the payout, its a part of the biz model to pay such outrageous per signup rates. |

The company in question about the survey has 'always' had NO xsales on revshare and pays one of the highest %'s in revshare. I wouldn't call that jumping on board.

The answer to this is very simple. It's easy to bitch and complain on the boards and talk about what everyone else needs to do. But, when it comes time for "YOU" to do something it's an entire different story.
