:mad You are extremely Ugly

I saw this ad title at an MFA site (Made for AdSense) and was like WTF??? Sure enough, it's an example of CLICK BAITING--a key tool for AdWords and PPC marketers. Here's an interesting article on CLICK BAITING: http://justtraffic.blogspot.com/2006...rategy-of.html

uh that might work well on a static ad. Why would you want people to click your PPC ad unless its targeted? ;/ Everyone would click an ad like that out of curiousity, costing you a lot of money. I dont understand that one :|

Actually on a PPC engine like Google, the really high CTR ratio will drop your overall cost per click, but generally its still a little untargetted but a generalized product like this should do well nevertheless.

True. Plus, they also explain it in the ad copy below the title. The strategy is to get eyes to the ad. Mixed with Graphic inline 'cues', this does quite well. The problem with many PPC ads are that people are "trained" (just by sheer repitition) to overlook them. By having these textual and graphical 'cues', marketers improve their game. In addition, to the benefits you outlined above.

i suppose if you target strict keyword searches rather than the ad network it might do well. Someone who searches for "make money on the internet" would be attention youd want to grab and this would be an interesting way of doing that
