I just saw the Pearl yesterday at a friend's shoot. I'm so pissed, I just got the 8700G a month ago.

I'll reserve judgment until I actually get to use one, but I've used the 7130 a fair amount; the keyboards look alike. I prefer a larger keyboard for typing, but the autotext is actually really good. I own an 8700 and a Palm Treo. My 8700 tends to go unused.. it's great for email, but not much else.

I'm interested to see the browser, I didn't have the best time with the 8700's - I prefer the Blazer browser on the Treo.

It's definately a smart move on Blackberry's part, though.

I was planning on getting the 8700. I was going to give the pearl and its SureType system 2 days and if I didn't like it I was going to return it for the full QWERTY 8700.

I easily adapted.

I am almost certain that the Browser on the Pearl is the same as the 8700. I opt to use Opera Mini on my Blackberry's over the RIM browser.

Tomorrow I'm going to go pick up the 1gb micro-SD card and test out some of the multimedia abilities...which I know won't come anywhere close to the Treo.

But I am excited to see the built in RSS functionality.
