mycotoxins in cereal

Anybody watch this on the news last night?

"According to a study conducted by Health Canada, many commercial cereals were found to contain one or more mycotoxins -- naturally occurring toxins produced from micro fungi which often attack grain crops."

http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNew...928?hub=Health

I think I'm going to stop eating all together

This is actually true and it is a very bad thing, resulting from corporate greed, means, keeping grains in warehouses and not cleaning it after. Needless to say that you don't hear about it in the USA, the world headquarter of corporate greed.

Aflatoxin is one of the most common mold toxins. The shit is highly toxic and makes stuff like cyanide look healthy. It sucks big time because it is not only poisonous, it also gags the white blood cells and makes people susceptible to bacteria and virusses. Also, it stays in the body for a long time because teh liver has a hard time getting rid of it.

It's also in "healthy" florida orange juice, bread, and nuts. Bake your own bread, I do. Cold cereals are worst, hot cereals like cream of wheat contain almost no mycotoxins, so better eat those. It's hard to kill too. Boiling won't kill it. Vitamin C in high conentrations may reduce it, but better not eat it at all.

That's actually hard to tell. Probably nobody dies from mycotoxins directly because the amount in food is not enough to kill someone. There are plenty of reported casualties from mold, but not from mold in food. The "curse of the pharaoh" is actually attributed to a mold type (aspergillus niger), which can grow on improperly mummified mummies.

Almost all US based bread companies put mold inhibitors into most types of bagged bread, so the bastards obviously know the shit is in there and try to knock it out. I was in Europe for 4 weeks and had left some bread in the fridge, when I came back it was still without any trace of visible mold. Mold inhibitors, however, only kill the mold, they don't eradicate the toxins that are already in there.

As stated, the remaining mycotoxins cause problems with the white blood cells, means, they inhibit a person's immune system. In the age of immune defficiencies eating moldy food is therefore not a good idea because it can contribute to lowering the body's immunity to the point where virusses like HIV, HPV, etc. find open doors.

The news didn't mention any names of the cereals which had toxins. What they did say is that there are 50 cereals out there now with mycotoxins that they have found so far.

FDA says aspartame is safe--
http://www.fda.gov/fdac/features/200...weeteners.html

Did you know?
Aspartame is made by Searle>>Monsanto, which is eventually owned by the Carlyle Group.
Arthur Hull Hayes, a former Defense Department contract researcher, became the FDA commissioner in 1981. In July of that same year he approved (against his advisers positions and previous FDA denials to allow aspartame)aspartame in dried foods, and 2 years later approved it for soft drinks. After that he went to work as a senior medical advisor for a public relations firm used by Monsanto and Searle.

Donald Rumsfeld, after having several top government positions, became the CEO of Searle from 1977 to 1985.

Anyway, with all these other countries talking about Aspartame in a negative light, and for the USA to be the only one supporting it(and members of high government profiting from it)...

It is much. Me and my daughter am eating Nestle. If in those cereals would be toxine the company would prbably have problems. It is a big and well-known company. So they will just hide it.
