October 19, 2006
Acquiring Bank Technical Problems - The acquiring bank we use to handle our Mastercard transactions has informed us that they are experiencing severe network problems and are unable to currently accept transactions. They have assured us they are working on the matter, and will let us know when they are once again capable of accepting Mastercard transactions. Until then, we are disabling Mastercard transactions to ensure you are not charged for these failures. Once we have confirmed their systems are working again, we will reenable Mastercard transctions. Rebills for Mastercard users are being held as well, and will be run as soon as we reenable Mastercard.

Anyone knows what's really going on?

This can happen if they are dealing with foreign offshore banks, there systems are behind in the times.. its a possibility.

Hmmm... I did not get that message from Paymonde.

But that would explain some of the failed transactions lately. Regardless, hopefully they get that shit fixed. It's not a big issue because I have a cascade, and CCBill can handle those.

But still.. it's an inconvience to customers.

Sounds like damage control to me, I was informed by them that this week's payout will be delayed but "SHOULD" arrive no later than the 30th. You want to give them the benefit of the doubt but with the track record of companies that start having delayed payouts we know better.

Does not sound or look good. They said they are not sure if mastercard processing and delayed payouts are a related issue. Pure Public Relations damage control language if I ever heard it.

anyone heard anything different??

Well definately not good. I had picked them up a month or so back. They had came highly recommended by a friend I trust. So I figured all would be good.

My first payment/wire was delayed. I called them. They released the funds. Two days later I received the missing one, plus the next week's. Which was a nice gesture.

But since they are currently billing about half to 2/3rds of my members who are making the roll over. So this is not good if they are running into problems. Sure CCBill can pick up some of the slack, but I do not need more bill grief.

Might have to look at some of the other recommendations out there. Members will not be happy that's for sure. Especially after the bill change we just went through migrating them to new billing platforms.

It says the payout is really not due until the 30th when I log in, They have always paid out on Monday. After 18 months this is a first though, Makes you wonder why this happens the same week as the Mastercard issue, I have been told nothing so at least they said something to you,

I'm not sure where you got that idea chief. I think they are asking for a simple inclusion for their UK processing requirements.

Reminds me of PSW a couple of years ago. They lost their Visa processing but it was business as usual: no worries, rebills are queued, we'll have a new solution soon!

They never found it.

That was last week, and it was the CEO of CCBill.

The real worry is the lack of response by Paymonde here ....

I don't process with them, so I wish you guys the best and hope it is only a cloud, not a storm.

Amen brotha. Hopefully this is only a bump they are trying to resolve. Although I think most of my Paymonde customers are VISA billing. I am still going to add in another option on my cascade for VISA to make sure that there is an alternative since we've not heard anything good, bad, or otherwise.

Just posted on the Paymonde site:

Quote:

Payouts Delayed - Due to unforseen problems, payouts have been pushed back until next Monday. Only those merchants scheduled to be paid out this week we'll have their payouts delayed until Monday. All other merchant payouts remain the same.
This is all beginning to stink a whole lot like the Ibill fiasco.

While I have already taken them off my cascade, I am nevertheless appalled that another billing company is playing fast-and-loose with the truth. You would think that these guys would have learned that being up-front and honest with webmasters is the only way to do business.

It seems abundantly clear to me that this kind of shit is going to keep happening unless and until all adult webmasters band together and demand that this kind of fraudulent and manifestly illegal behavior is prosecuted in accordance with the law. The fact that those bastards at Ibill are not in jail (and in fact remain in business to this day) is a sad (and dare I say ironic) commentary on the impotence of site owners and operators to protect their own interest.

could be lost contracts and frozen accounts, because that's what normally happens when you don't play by the rules

Many of us have have taken up with MVC now PAYMONDE since the IBILL fiasco. For me, 85% of my billing comes from PAYMONDE. If they go down, me and many others will be homeless. But I have faith in them. They have been paying us a week ahead of time for a long time. My payment is due on the 30th, and untill then, I cant say anything bad about them.
I hope all goes well and this will be my last post in regards to this issue.

Hmm.. I've emailed them twice with processing request and never heard back. Keeping in mind these payment delays - seems it's not a good time to use Paymonde services.

been using paymonde for over a year now, My payment just posted this afternoon, USA 2:00 p.m. This is the only delay I have had. Look at my page it really is not due until the 30th even though they always post it on Mondays. Not sure what to think with some being paid each day of the week and some still not being paid. I have built up quite a large reserve that would suck if I were to lose it maybe if they took the time to tell us what was going on, even a bullshit excuse is better then nothing, I can't even find the message left a few posts up.
