Stock Talk With Legendary Lars

well first off I am a fucking moron, I sold GOOG at 426 9000 shares of it last thursday. well here we are at 480 man what a fuckup. almost 500K I missed out on. I pretty much liquidated everything last thursday. I am now picking up lvlt and Q plus some sandisk sndk cuzz its just got hammered so bad. I sold my FRG and CCJ and got out of CCJ before it had its huge run but also missed the last 40 cents of FRG, I will pick up frg again if it gets to 6 buck range. CCJ is probably a buy in here again. Sold MY AKAM but am still holding SVVS and CROX. Waiting for the fed today to see what the next run is going to be like. RIMM is also intersting it has some fire in it. But It ran up so much it scares me. ADM also interesting due to shortage of corn. In general taking stuff off the plate due to new record highs and a huge run over the last few months, waiting for a pullback to really leap in again.

Lots of people sold their Google stock when it fell from 428 to 421. Then a few days later Google released their 3rd quarter earnings and blew the street away. It was amazing to see it go from 421 to 487 in only 1 week.

You just picked up some LVLT? At what price?

Two companies to keep your eye on, COH and RVBD

google out a good thing

You know now that microsoft and amazon among others are claiming foul play with google, its probably a wise decision to get out of it.

internet telephony companies probably your other good avenues.

A friend of mine has been touting rimm like crazy for a few years now. Alot of folks think its underpriced. Who knows, maybe there will be more price fixing allegations in that industry.

I am not here to really give advice, I have no idea what your financial status is how much net worth you have and so forth for the most part the stock market in the short term is a total gamble ya can go and put the money on red on the roulett wheel and do just as well. most of my main holdings are in totally safe stuff that does nto move much each year I am happy if on $1500 i make $70 a year.

Tell us a bit about your setup, I am curious.

What broker do you use?

How many diff. positions do you manage usually?

How much time to do you spend on your stocks daily/weekly?

Any money management guidelines like stop loss, i.e. at what point do you get rid of a losing position?

I think it will never ever have a down day again! 150bn market cap on a 10bn revenue stock, I think it will ultimately goto 500bn market cap with around 50bn in revenues. Ah wait that was 1999

1 ?----if you really think a pull back is coming please explain why???

my point is:

1. it seems numbers are there and economy is improving steadily

2. oil is down

3. real estate is down

4. interest rates going up

5. bush has only 2 years left

6. dems just won house and senate

To me it seems everything is great in the US and only thing that should bring markets down is new war or terrorist attck....

Dont put everything into stocks. mix it up a bit, its safer that way... drop me a line on icq if you want to chat investments, I'm not a big ticket player like lars, but I love making money.

a divendend giving stock that re invests the divends in stock shares rather than cash

1 company that does it is computershare.com...i believe there is at least 100 stocks they offer dividend reinvestment

when each of my kids were born i did it with mcdonalds stock...not a great pick but....for instance--15 years ago i bought 15k worth and its worth 65k now... if i picked ebay it would be MILLIONS--LOL

completly disagree

i think everyone and the younger you are closer to 100% you should be invested in stocks. IT CAN BE MUTUAL FUNDS---but they should be 100% in stocks...

next 10 years or so real estate will continue down and the stockmarket will JUMP--same as the late 80's and early to mid 90's--during that time people investing in stocks made a fotune
