Those are probably just affiliates that are sending traffic to them. Should he do what AFF has been accused of doing so many times? You know just tell them "I don't know how are adds are on that torrent site. We will look into it." and then do nothing about it.

There is a difference between affiliates using zango to promote a program and the program itself buying that kind of traffic. There is also a difference in a program not knowing where there affiliates traffic is coming from and a program that buys the traffic directly and then laughs in their affiliates face about it.

Oh yea and why should he stop using ifriends? Are you saying that ifriends is bad because they support adware? Are you saying adware is bad and not good for this industry?

Will you really need to drop Ifrineds before starting any more threads about AFF, you need to put your money where your mouth is or basically when it comes to money your willing to look the other way when it coems to ifriends and zango.

It?s incredible how money can make somebody so ignorant.

My links to AFF have been pulled. Keep up the good work!

But if you are concerned at all about this issue, which will no doubt get a lot worse especially if Zango are white listed next month, you really should install it, at least on an old pc as seeing is believing.

I've seen about 10 or 12 Adult companies either buying popups on Zango or allowing their affiliates to do so and thereby stealing sales by cookie/url replacement. Let's ignore for the moment what appears in the toolbar tabs and search results as I posted in an earlier thread.

Most of the Adult companies buying popups I've never or rarely heard of. The bigger companies I've noticed seem to be AFF/Cams, SexSearch, iFriends and Webcams.com.

SexSearch and Webcams.com have been totally silent on the issue at least as far as I've noticed, apparently hoping to avoid the spotlight.

The issue here by the way is not "if" their popups are on Zango, it's why. Anyone can verify the "if" part within a few minutes after installing Zango.

The only two companies I am really interested in here are AFF/Cams and iFriends since I currently send traffic to both of them.

AFF/Cams has admitted publicly that they currently use Zango. I don't agree with their reasoning but I do know where they stand "officially".

iFriends doesn't post on boards apparently so it's hard to get an "official" word from them. The closest I've seen is an email that they sent to an Affiliate that he was kind enough to post on gfy that basically stated that they did try an Adware company a few years ago but don't do anything like that anymore and don't approve of that type of marketing etc.

May I present exhibit one below. This is a screenshot taken a couple days ago that shows a Zango iFriends popup over iFriends site.

I have seen several varieties of these as I'm sure everyone who has played with Zango has. Some go to alternate landing pages like sizzlingcams, incredicams and some go to Clickcash affilate sites.

These iFriends Zango popups happen when I visit my own sites that have links to ifriends.com and cams.com on the pages as well as when just going to ifriends.com as the screenshot depicts.

I have sent the info to Clickcash and they say they are investigating it. I have also given Will the info to pass on to them. This has been going on since I first installed Zango so I would assume it has been occurring for some time before that yet these same accounts are still active. There are four or five accounts in total I have noticed where my cookie gets swapped out for theirs.

Here's the funny part. Most of the time, indeed it was like five times in a row yesterday, the same Clickcash account appears. The name of the account is "180SOLUTIONS" Does that name sound familiar?

It should as Zango = 180Solutions.

So according to my two braincells worth of deductive reasoning combined with the online detective course I just completed I must assume at least one of the following possibilities is true:

1) iFriends buys popups on Zango.
2) Zango is a Clickcash affiliate.
3) A rogue Clickcash affiliate buys ads on Zango and decided to name his account this to be able to track sales easily.

Ok lets start with number 3)

A rogue affiliate sending traffic from an unaccepted source would be shut down immediately when iFriends found out about it. They would of course be shut down within hours if they made an account name describing their unacceptable traffic source.

I know they monitor new account names because I tried to make one a few years ago called "younggirls" or something similiar and they shut it down the same day saying that the word "young" implied underage and to choose another name.

So yeah if I made an account name "ISPAMAIM" or whatever I wouldn't last long.

No affiliate would name his account giving away his traffic source especially if he knew it was unacceptable and was just hoping to get a few checks before they found out.

So that leaves the most likely explanation being that iFriends buys popups on Zango and/or allows their affiliates to do so as I would be seeing different names if they were cancelling them and new rogue affiliates were popping up.

I certainly wouldn't put it past Zango to be a Clickcash affiliate. After all they monetize and remonetize every inch of their site, stealing and selling back the traffic over and over. But how can that be as iFriends has said that they don't approve of this type of marketing?

No judgements here, just facts concerning Zango. No insults to iFriends, AFF, Lars, Will or anyone else. I still send traffic to both companies for now. These are my deductions based on what I see.

Download Zango if you haven't already to confirm this.

I for one would be more than willing to participate in a class action suit as long as it was against ALL Sponsors using Zango not just one or two.

I have heard however that legal action by Sponsors against Zango for allowing competitors to bid on their sites and trademarked names would be more likely to succeed so lets hope something gets moving on that idea.
Unbelieveable

there are plenty of others who still can ;) if you think the whole situation will just go away by discrediting will, you're wrong. i think a lot more threads should be made targeting other programs who allow this type of advertising, for sure but bottom line, you guys wouldn't be using zango and whatever other programs you might be using if it wasn't making you money.

weeks have gone by and the affialite links to ifriends are still poppin on you know where. Time to pull all your Ifriends links, or your the biggest hippocryt on the board.
First of all I am just an affiliate for their company. I do not own clickcash, I do not work there. This is not an "offical" ClickCash press release or anything of the sorts, just my own words on the issue.

When this problem came about they were the first ones I talked to. I have had a GREAT relationship with them over the last 5 years. It has been a very profitable relationship for both of us and we value each other on a business and personal level.

When they told me they were working on it I believed them. I know they were working on this from several different ways. I didn't not expect Lars and AFF to understand this or anyone else here that does not do business with them to understand this. Even those of you who do not do business with clickcash or do not like them for that matter knows they take complaints seriously and will invistigate and shut down account using shaddy tactics. Obviously there was a reason why the scumware accounts weren't shut down day one. This wasn't like someone was doing email spam and they just yank the plug, this was something new to them. Instead of just terminating the account, they were investigating this and looking for a long term solution to a new problem for them.

With that said, .... All clickcash accounts using zango/scumware have been terminated. If you find anyone using ifriends/clickcash on zango etc.. please clickcash the screen shots and copy the info in the cookie and send it to them. This is not going to be open season for bogus complaints, so don't even try to make complaints about the guy who is out biding you on adwards because you want him out of your way. They will investigate every complaint inside and out to determine if it is legit or not and I think it will be easy to tell which is legit and which is bogus.

Also take notice on the browser on the TOS page. Even though Clickcash is doing everything it can to stop scumware and help all of us (name another sponsor who has shut down accounts for doing this?) On the browser of the damn TOS page, AFF is still advertisering there. This pathetic. Clickcash shuts down the person, and AFF is still doing their part.

BTW. Once the clickcash account is TOS'ed, their cookie will not be set. For those of you who promote clickcash, if the idiot using clickcash on zango doesn't notice this right away, it wont hurt you. It isn't like his cookie is still being set and going over you yours and his account is still getting the sale. That wouldn't be cool either, then his account would get the sale, which in that case he doesn't get paid for being TOS'ed and ClickCash keeps your money. I am sure ClickCash could have set the programming up this way, but they did not. They make sure when a person is TOS'ed his cookie is not set. In this case your sufer would close the TOS window and continue on to yoursite and only your cookie would have been set, therefore you still make the sale.

If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me.

This was never about Will76 vs Lars. This has always been about me vs Scumware. ClickCash has been working with me since day 1 on this, they have been very responsive and understanding to my concerns and the damage this could do to all of us. However I could not always post the details of what they were working on and what they were doing. Unfortunetly some of you jumped on the Lars bandwagon that I was a hypocrite. Thats fine, call me what you want. At the end of the day I want scumware gone, i don't care if i am leading the charge or not involved at all, end result, I want it to stop taking money from me.

I THINK WE HAVE A WINNER!

And I didn't get ifriends to drop the affiliates using zango. I informed them what was going on and they took action. Lars do you think a huge affiliate company is going to listen to it's affiliates? obviously you don't because you don't listen to yours

Clickcash did this on their own and it happened to be in agreement with everyone else here. Well except you.

So who is the "blowhard" now ?

novell idea instead of dropping ifriends will76 had ifriends drop zango

much easier this way.. and profitable as ifriends will undoubtedly start gearing up for some lawsuits instead of just losing the traffic as most ofthers are forced into....

They had intentions from day 1 to drop the traffic just were working on trying to find perminate fixes instead of just banning accounts. So I knew it was a matter of time.

I kept telling Lars they were working on it but he "knew" that was bullshit. He knew I was a hypocrite. He even said " it doesn't take a month to fix this" or something to that extent.

Funny thing was in his "position statement" he says they were looking for a solution.... lol Funny how he knows so much about other's people's companies/business but he apparently doesn't know much about what is going on with his.

I don;t think I have ever been called a hypocrite before, these guys most have said it a couple hundred times trying to damage my reputation.

HMMMMM do you have another agenda here, its really starting to look that way.
Nice try to spin things ...
Trying to get attention out of your board persona by making diversions like that just REALLY don't make it look any cooler. Especially when we all know Will dosen't own/run ifriends... Just had to say that.

You should hire a PR team to help you get out of this hole... Right now you aren't loosing active affiliates who have their links up, but trust me, when it will be time for new affiliates to come they will think twice about using AFF with all the bad comments it's been getting on the board lately...

Your board persona was almost untoutchable 2 months ago and now they make animated gifs about you... This is something you should think twice about...

I couldn't give two shits what people do with their traffic as long as it dosen't affect mine but I base my decisions about who I send traffic too on that... I currently use no "main sponsors" that are using cross sales and popups. That's how much I take care of my visitors.
